We sit in silence
Noise rings from the violence
Heart beats
Never slowing
Shocking defeat
Forever running
I can't look back
Not now,
Not ever.
I can't turn back
The clock has chimed
It's written,
It's happened.
There's nothing you can do about it
I'm scarred
Because of you.
He says I'm overreacting
He would see the truth
If only he could remember.
You say you're worried about me
Don't try to engulf me with your lies
Words don't heal actions
Why can't you realise
Everything you've done wrong
You said you're sorry
That you would never hurt me.
But you already have
You just don't see it
I hide it away
Bury it deep within
Even one word from you
Can bring me to tears.
No one else, nothing else
Only you.
Only you can make me cry.
So this is goodbye
I've left.
I'm gone.
I hope you find happiness in my departure,
Because even though you put me through so much,
I cannot wish that pain on another.
