Chapter 6

It was today, we had both been cleaned and dried. Dressed in our best clothes and Phoenix looked adorable so I snapped a few photos making her giggle. I took her hand and we floo into the Ministry, she holds my hand tightly as we walk. People don't spare a second glance, Phoenix's scar was hidden by her fringe so no one would notice that. I saw Malfoy's family and they smirk, I then saw Arthur as I got in the lift. "It's okay I have your back" he tells me before giving Phoenix a lollipop she grins "Thank you" she says. I smile "Worried?" He asks and I nod. "I heard Hagrid, McGonagall and Dumbledore are coming don't worry" he says as we arrive. We step in and he takes a seat, Phoenix holds my hand tightly as she watches as people file in. She wasn't her bubbly self and I was afraid. She had her blanket with her in her hand still which she took for luck. "Please be seated, Mr Lupin take the main seat. Miss Black up here" the man says. A guard approached but Phoenix fought "NO MOONY!" She screams. I take her quickly "It'll be over soon and we can go home, just stay with them till the end",I tell her she hugs me "Love you" she mumbles. "I love you too" I reply. I put her down and she walks past the mans outstretched hand and sits sassily into the chair making me smile a little. I sit down "Mr Remus John Lupin you are here as you are the guardian of Miss Phoenix Elizabeth Black" the mans says and I nod "Your also a werewolf" he adds. I nod, people look slightly disgusted but I was used to it. I admit I was a monster but it was not my fault, "We understand that Miss Black is sent to Hogwarts during the week of the full moon" I nod. Phoenix looks at me worried "This is not stable for a young girl" he continues "OBJECTION!" She yelled. I shouldn't have let her watch that program everyone looks at her "Can I say something?" She asks. They mumble but nod, she walks down and I get up moving to the side. She sits down on the chair, "My name is Phoenix Elizabeth Black. My mummy is dead and my daddy is gone, Moony took me in and he is like my daddy. I know that you think my life isn't stable but I don't care. I get to have my happy times with Moony and happy times with Alby, Minnie and Ruby! You just want a news story. So let me tell you gurl" she says. I facepalm while people on my side chuckle at her antiques "I have the most loving, caring, like a grandmother no offence, kind and gentle daddy like figure in my life and you want to take me away just because of what he becomes once a month that may I remind you is not his fault. So before you think about taking me away maybe you should look at what I want" she finishes. It was then that people stood up and clapped. People stare shocked "Also I would like to add that
1) Your nearly ruined my birthday
2) Your never going to get an invite to another
3) I don't like your attitude
And 4) If you even try to remove me from my family, I'm going to annoy the rude word out of you" she says. I smile at her and she smiles at me, "All favor in letting Miss Black living with Mr Lupin raise your hands" nearly all the hands raise. I look at her and she looks at me. She gets up ad runs at me, I capture her in my arms and twirl her around making her giggle "Mr Lupin has the custody of Miss Black" they clarify.

She's amazing. Phoenix won the courts heart, she's super cute still and carries that blanket around everywhere. She's going to be living with me now for a long time.
