A Simple Tail

Magic rules

      Unlike most books/stories I'm going to be listing the rules for Sera's magic. "Why?" You may ask. Because these will be the basis for all of her magic. Also, another reason is because if I mess up then you guys can call me out on it. And so here goes.

       1) She must be in contact with water to transform. That includes tears and condensation.

       2) she is fully in control of when she turns. After turning she must be dry to turn back. This does not include her hair (I'm evil I know😈)

       3) She can manipulate people's memories, but only the ones with her in them. She CAN look at memories without her in them, she just can't change them. (*Note: This power has limits and there are people it won't work on)

       4) She has control over the ocean, but she can only use those powers once she's seen the spells. (*Note: Once she's heard or seen a spell she can use the power without saying it. It's stronger if she sings the spell though.)

        5) Like her memory molding magic she can unlock different talents. To do so she needs to have a strong emotional surge. (PS. You'll find out why she can mess with minds later.)

       6) Her singing voice is the most beautiful voice ever, basically. In human form it can cause people to relax, cry, get angry. Her voice is exactly like a drug, it can change people. Her mermaid voice is that, a hundred fold. Her voice then could make you do anything she wanted you too. This does work on everyone without exception, some people are just resistant.

       7) Her mermaid appearance changes based off the desires of the person or people around her, if no one is around it will model her desires. Like if there was a guy there that preferred blondes she'd be blonde. Her face and body don't change just clothing, hair, tail color and eyes. (*Note: To change based off of someone's desires she must either be thinking of them as she changes or have them there when she changes. PT.2: When she changes her original clothes disappear and are replaces by whatever is most wanted, like a beaded dress or a plain shirt. When she turns back her former clothes reappear. PT.3: If she wants she can keep a change. If she had a different hair color she could turn back with it still a different color. Same goes for eyes. Not the clothes though😭.)
