The TERRIBLE news!

Chapter 2

Stacy's POV

I finally got home and got the stuff out of the passenger seat. I walked over up the house and walked inside. My mom was sitting in the living room taking care of my little brother, Matt.

"Hey, I'm home!" I yelled to no one in particular, as I put my backpack in the closet.

"Hey honey, how was your day?" I walked into the living room and started tickling Matt.

"It was very good!" I said grinning very wide.

"Why? What happened?" She said facing towards me look very gitty to know what happened.

"Well, You know Max?"

"Yeahhhhh..." She said still anxious.

"Well, I got his number so now I can hang out with him this summer!!"

"Wowwwww. That's nice!" She said turning back to Matt, sort of disappointed that it wasnt something more important.

"Yeah okay, I'm going to go up to my room" I said getting up and heading towards he stairs.

"Wait, honey I forgot I have something to tell you." I turned and looked back at her.

"What's up?" I said in a bored tone, slowly walking towards the stairs.

"I just wanted to tell you that the Milners are coming next weekend and staying for the whole summer." She said turning back to Matt like the last thing she said wasn't a big deal at all.

I froze right when she said it, and turned around really slowly trying to sink in the big, terrible news that she just told me. "WHAT?!?!?!?"

"Oh honey calm down. I know you hate Luke but he may have changed, and you never know you guys could end up friends." She said still not looking at me.

"Why did you invite them?!?!?" I said running over her and standing over her so she would give me a reasonable answer.

"Because we haven't seen them in a long time and their fun so I wanted them to spend time with us again." She said giving me an exscuse so I would leave but I was not ready to do that I needed a way to change her mind.

"No, mom you can't!!" I said practically shouting. "Oh come on you can hang out with them any other time, without me, but why for the entire summer?"

"Because like I said before we don't spend a lot of time with them anymore"

"That's because I hate him!!"

"Well too bad Stacy, your just going to have to get over it. It is happening and you are going to hang out with him whether you like it or not!!!" My mom said looking at me with an irritated look on her face.

"UGGHHHhhhhh!!" and I turned around stomping up to my room and shutting the door. I dropped down on my bed and breathed for a little bit trying to calm down. I pulled out my phone and sent a text to Autumn.

OMG!! NIGTMARE IS STAYING WITH US ENTIRE SUMMER!!!!!

I got a text back almost immediately.

OMG THAT SUCKS WHY????

I loved how when I said nightmare she knew exactly who I was takling about. She knows why I hate him because I've told her all of the stories and always called him 'nightmare' instead of his real name.

MOM WANTS TO SPEND TIME WITH THEMf!! AND I HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT TOO!!!

She replied back right away.

WELL, MAYBE IT WON'T BE SO BAD

Oh my gosh, why would she say something like that???

WHY WOULD U SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT???

BECAUSE MAYBE HE'S CHANGED

With that I didn't reply, obviously she had no idea what kind of terrible thing this was.

Just then I heard the door close down stairs and I ran out of my room stopped in front of my dad.

"Dad please, please, please, please, dont do this to me.

He looked over my shoulder at my mom grinning, "So you told her?"

"This is not funny, you cant make me do this!!!!!" I said grabbing his shirt so he would get the point.

"Look honey I know you dont want to do this but we haven't seen them in a long time and we should hang out with them." He said, prying my hands off of his shirt. He walked over sitting next to my mom and picked Matt up, putting him on his lap.

"Oh please, could you just tell them not to come? Please!!"

"No!! Listen they are coming!! For the entire summerf, so your just going to have to live with it! I'm sorry but once they get here I think you will change your mind." My dad said and with that he was done with the conversation and didn't want anymore argueing.

"Fine!!!! When are they going to be here?????" I said giving up because I know I wouldn't win.

"They will be here Thursday!" My mom said glad that I was finally just giving up.

"That's the last day of school!!!" Why would they invite them on the last day of school. My mom's going to make me be here when they come and I won't get to hang out with any of my friends.

"Yup it is, they will be here that afternoon. So please clean your room. Derek and Lisa will be sleeping downstairs and Luke will be in the spare room upstairs."

"Are you serious?!? The one by my room???!!?" I am just amazed, I couldn't sleep with him that close to where i am sleeping.

"Yes the downstairs spare room is bigger so Derek and Lisa should have that room."

"I will be sleeping on the couch then." I said completely serious. I almost went upstairs and started bringing down my blankets and pillows.

"Oh, don't over react. You can lock your door if you want, but I won't let you sleep on the couch it will be too messy." My mom said getting up and walking into the kitchen.

I walked after her and sat at the counter. "Okay, okay, but if he does anything that pushes me to far, I will stay at Marissa's house all summer. I'm not even joking."

"Ohhh, it won't be that bad. So just Stop It!!! Now go clean your room and come down for dinner." She said taking meat and other food items out of the fridge.

I turned around and walked upstairs. I started putting my clothes in my hamper. My room was finally clean, it hasn't been for the last 4 months. I hated cleaning my room. I picked up my phone and went into Autumn under messages and pressed reply.

HEY THERE'S NO WAY I CAN GET OUT OF THIS. IT'S OFFICIAL, SADLY.

She replied a couple minutes later.

OH THAT SUCKS!! WELL U CAN HANG OUT WITH ME A LOT THIS SUMMER IF U WANT 2 GET AWAY FROM HIM.

I MOST LIKELY WILL B HANGING WITH U A LOT

After that she didn't reply. I went down stairs and sat down at table. Thankfully we didn't talke anymore about the Milners coming.

After dinner I went home up to my room and played on my ipod until I fell asleep. I'd had a long day.
