Chapter One  

*11 Years later*  

“Samantha wake up!” Her mother said pulling off her covers, she moaned and opened her eyes. Samantha over the years had gotten taller and more beautiful, her eyes sort of transformed into dark brown eyes, that reminded people of chocolate and her black hair reached her shoulders because she hadn't liked it when it was long. She got up as her mom left her bedroom and walked into her bathroom, she yawned and went up to the sink grabbing her toothbrush. She brushed her teeth and then stripped to get into the shower, the water was cold just the way she liked it. The cold water woke her up for school, she got out of the shower within five minutes and quickly dried off and put on lotion.  

Samantha stretched as she put on her bra and underwear, she grabbed a blue dress that cut off just before her knees and it had white polka dots with a white belt that went around her waist. She sprayed on some perfume and brushed her hair until it was perfectly wavy. She slid on her blue and white flats and a blue headband that tied her outfit all together. She added some lip gloss and grabbed her bag and ran down the stairs.  She checked her phone and there was a text from her boyfriend, Aiden, he texted her saying that he was on his way to come pick her up for school. 

“Mama! Aiden’s almost here so I’ll just grab an oatmeal bar on the way out” She yelled into her mom’s room before grabbing her house keys. “Oh come home straight after school! I am having some guests over and they can’t wait to see you” She rolled her eyes, “Okay” She said grumpily. “Is it okay if Aiden comes over?” She had met Aiden two years ago in ninth grade and they hit it off so well that they started dating. “Yes…you’re so lucky that boy managed his way into my heart” She yelled out as Samantha heard Aiden honk his horn. “Bye Mom…Aiden’s here” She called out running out the door, she locked the door behind her and smiled when Aiden rolled down the window.  

“Hey gorgeous” He smiled at her as she got in the car; Aiden had light brown hair that was short and he spiked it at the front which made his green eyes stand out. He had the perfect golden skin tone and he was the star and captain of the soccer team, he leaned over and kissed her gently on the lips. Then he pulled away before driving off towards the exit of her neighborhood. “So my mom is having a dinner…I’m guessing for her old friends and I was wondering if you would stay over and keep me company” Samantha said kissing his hand. He smiled as her kisses sent tingles up his body, “I’d be happy to stay with you baby” He answered as he pulled into the parking lot of their school which was about five minutes away from her house. “Really? Thank you so much” She said hugging him when they got out of the car, he grabbed her cheeks in his hand and smiled at her. Her dark eyes gleamed as she looked adoringly at him, “I love you Miss Samantha” He whispered against her lips. “I love you too” She said closing the gap between them, she wrapped her hands around his neck and held him close. They pulled away smiling at each other, Aiden gently took her hand into his and intertwined his fingers with hers. 

“So at soccer practice yesterday, Jessie said he was throwing a soccer team party and he invited us…Would you want to go? It's on Saturday” He asked knowing she would probably say yes after all she loved to dance and listen to music. “Did you just ask me that?” She said unbelievably, “Of course we’re going…I've got to get my groove on” She said causing him to laugh.  

The first bell rang and Aiden walked her to her first hour and kissed her before she went inside the classroom, “I’ll see you at lunch” He winked at her and then ran down the hall towards his classroom. She smiled and went inside her first period which was AP US history. “Good morning students….for our lesson today we will be taking notes and watching a video on the cold war.” Mrs. Gram said as she began writing on the white board at the front of class.
