"Carrot sticks?" Liam narrowed his eyes at the clear packaging of neatly cut orange carrots and then eyed Louis as if he'd grown a second head. "Really?"
"What? They're nutritious!" Louis grabbed the bag and started to open it. "They're full of good things like Vitamin B and... Vitamin... C-"
"You have no idea what you're doing, do you?" Liam shook his head in amusement and sat on the stool across from Louis.
"Shut. Up." Louis honestly had no clue what to do. "I'm doing this for someone else."
"Let me guess, is it for the Harry almighty?" Liam picked up a carrot stick and held it graciously in the air before slotting it into his mouth (insert Louis's unamused face).
"I'm trying to be a good host and not leave my guests alone just to go off with a stranger."
"And so carrot sticks are the way to do that?"
"Liam," Louis dipped a stick in humus and pointed it at him. "Shut up."
Liam chuckled softly and leaned back on his chair. "In some strange way, this is oddly sweet."
Louis stopped pouring and eyed Liam expectantly. He continued. "I bet you would bend over backwards to make that lucky boy happy."
"I'd bend him over to make him really happy, am I right Liam!" Louis raised his palm up for a high five, but instead got high fived in the face.
And that is how Liam was uninvited to Louis' house party in the apartment he lived in.

"What the f.uck is this?" A random 'lad' eyed the bowl of sliced carrots.
"They're carrots, Josh." Louis held a glass of water in his hands. "They're vegetables I think."
"...And so why are they here? Being served?" He then gestured dramatically around him. "At a party?"
Louis' face was completely straight when he spoke.
"Because the party doesn't start without these bad boys."
Josh honestly didn't know whether Louis was serious or not because Louis did not crack one bit. He was good at this, he never let anything get to him which is why he also happened to be a brilliant liar. Louis slowly nodded and tapped Josh on the shoulder, wishing him a good rest of the night (but not before offering him a carrot stick).
Louis started to get a little bit... antsy. Like, he wasn't having anxiety or anything. He was just getting very impatient upon Harry's arrival. The younger lad said that he would be there at around 7:30pm, but Louis was borderline mortified to find out that it was past 7:30pm.
