A V I A N A
I shrugged my shoulder upwards trying to make the backpack strap more comfortable on my shoulder.
I looked around towards the road, squinting due to the rays of the sun. The cars passed by blowing a breeze as they passed letting the noise of the engine become distant.
I shifted my attention to look straight as I saw the dorm house nearing. I looked down at my feet and watched them slowly move forward occasionally stepping on a crack in the cement.
My eyes moved upward to look at a red strap tied to my waist. My gaze followed the strap as it went to my waist to Harry's waist.
We walked side by side silently forgetting each other's presence. Harry eyebrows knitted together as he stared down at his phone typing in whatever.
We walked side by side exactly a meter apart. School ended and I had yet six hours to be tied to him.
It kinda frightened me to be this close to Harry for six hours because of this mornings events. He couldn't have just punched the guy for no reason, there had to be a reason to do so.
After I saw him violently punch the guy I totally changed my perspective of Harry. At first I saw him as a quiet and secretive person that silently kept to himself and gave a profile of danger. When he fought with the student this morning I saw him as a cry for danger and violence. When he came and helped me find my locker and speak up for me in class made me change my perspective of him yet again. I basically have mixed feelings of being this close to him.
The point of this assignment was to get to know your partner; make a new friend. And so far we were failing at that.
I turned once again to face him. He slipped his phone into his pocket and stared ahead. I put my hand up blocking the Suns rays,"So....what's your favourite colour?"
He let out a deep chuckle slowly looking down at me with a questionable glance.
I tore my gaze away from his and looked down at my feet,"The assignment was to get to know your partner better." I explained hoping he would participate with me in this partnered assignment.
He nodded understanding my statement. Harry stretched his hand forward opening the door to the dorm house. I stepped into the dorm house with Harry close behind me, soon to be met at my side.
"So to get to know me better, you need to know my favourite colour?" He chuckled with a amused grin on his face.
I slowly nodded looking around to see students filling the lounge area. Students either had their phone in their hands or a book. All the couches and stools were occupied with students. Chatter filled the air along with the scent of coffee and erasers.
Harry and I walked side by side to the staircase, until a familiar student walked up to us with a cheeky grin.
"Yo Styles, what's up?" He came up and have Harry a "bro" hug.
Harry shrugged to his greeting,"Nothing much"
The guy nodded as his stare fell onto to me,"Your from my English class, right?"
I slowly nodded recognizing him,"Yeah, you sit behind me".
He smiled showing his teeth,"Names Jason"
I nodded shifting my weight to my other foot,"Aviana"
He gave me one last smile before continuing his conversation with Harry. I felt kinda....awkward listening to their conversation considering I couldn't go anywhere else. Don't get me wrong being in London felt amazing, but meeting totally new friends felt different and weird.
