I smiled, looking down at the little crib in the baby room. Jack and I had been married for three years, and decided that it was time for a little addition to our small family. An addition named Lilly.
Every day I would talk to Lilly, Jack would do the same. We tried to teach her things from a young age, to help her learn faster.
Every morning Jack would run into her room, pick her up, and yell, "Good morning!" To my beautiful baby, resulting in a fit of giggles. Most of them were from Lilly.
I always smiled when they did this. They were so adorable.
After a little while, Lilly would run into our room and yell, "It's good morning time!" She was so cute!
"I love you." I told Lilly, kissing her tiny head as she yawned. I started to sing to her to help her sleep. She fell easily, and I finished my song.
All Time Low is still going strong, and we've just released our tenth album! Tenth! Can you believe it!? I certainly can't, and I don't think the rest of us can either. It's pretty surreal.
Lilly was born on December 25th (best Christmas present ever!), and she was biologically Jack and I's child, but a nice woman gave birth to her for us. Cassadee Pope.
She was always so supportive of us, and knew that after nine months of caring for our baby, it would be hard to not have her own, so after Lilly was born she and Rian were already engaged and she was expecting a baby after Lilly was two months old.
Lilly is only six months right now, and she's started to learn some words, and has been crawling around a lot. Recently, she learned, "Da!" Which Jack and I figure is either meant to be Dad (we're still debating on which one, however) or a word that only babies know, and we adults have no way of ever finding out what it means unless we go back in time to when we were babies. Twenty-nine years ago.
I'm 30 now, and Jack's turning 29 soon. I still remember our first date. We couldn't decided who the 'girl' was in the relationship, so we took turns as to what we were doing and split the pay fifty-fifty, meaning we were both happy.
It was Jack's turn for the first one, because Jack had been the one to ask me out. He took me bowling, which I beat him at every time, and then he took me out for pizza, and we were going to got to a movie afterwards, but after realizing that Jack barely had any money left, we went to his house, where we ate the pizza, and watched Home Alone, him quoting the whole thing. I swear, I wouldn't even have to watch the movie to know exactly what was going to happen with him. Another thing to love about him.
Our wedding day was just as 'romantic'. It was a very fun wedding, and we were so happy the whole time, of course, but it was silly. In a good way. A good kind of silly.
We made jokes at the alter, made stupid toasts to bad actors, and the academy, of course, and quite a few people got drunk. I'm sure Jack would have too, had I not told him we wouldn't be doing anything that night had he not been sober.
We were finally married (thank God, amirite), and were so so so so so happy, and couldn't wait to have a little boy or girl to add to the family.
As soon as Lilly was born, I knew that I could never live without her. She was so adorable, and happy all of the time! Everyone loved her. Lilly Beth Barakat-Gaskarth. We couldn't just choose one last name.
