Once upon a spell

Chapter 18

"Come on , we have to move!"
"Why?!"

Bryan runs over to me and pick me up with one hand , and we start running.

"Why are we running?!" I ask Bryan.

No answer. Just running.

After at least an hour of running we finally end up at the destination .

The local library.

"Why did we come here?!" I ask him.
"To escape the evil."
"What evil?"
"Never Mind"

We walk up the library steps and knock on the doors.

*one knock*
*two knocks*
*three knocks*

The door magically flys open, we run through the book selfs to the spot of the opening of the tree.

The way to the cave is different this time ,no falling.

"My goodness! What ever is the matter?" We are greeted by Gladis.
" we have been compremized!"
"By who?!"
"The evil!"
Gladis and Bryan go on and on about the "evil".

As I look to the side of the room where there's an old tree painting, there is a green glow in one of the leaves. It's very pretty. I stumble over to the tree. One by one the leaves light up as I walk closer . Soon enough all the leaves light up.i reach out to touch it and then........

"Fern no!"
I hear a faint voice behind me, followed by a tackle. Next thing that I know is that Bryan is on the floor with me and the tree's leaves turn red .

What did you do that for?!" I ask Bryan disappointed . 
"Are you  nuts? You could have gotten killed!"

"I..I didn't know!" I can see that Bryan is mad.

He helps me up . We walk over to Gladis.

"My ,my. We are going to have to keep an eye on you!"

Minutes pass and we are sitting sipping tea. There is a knock on the cave's big door. No one ever knock at the door?! One knock, two knocks , three knocks. The door slams open.

"I was wondering where the little girl full of magic was? Mmm or maybe he's hiding?"

The dark figure flys immediately to me.

"So you are the little fire cracker, usually I would just take the magic from your soul , but I could play with you to test your magic limit! Meet me on the road near the forest, and if you don't i will kill the ones you love one by one!"

As soon as the dark figure announced the challenge , she disappeared.

"Who was that??!"

"Oh my, Fern dear would you like some tea??or maybe some cookies?"

"Tea?cookies? Are you crazy I just got challenged to a duel by a,i don't know what that was, missed half of dance where Christi is probably looking for me , and I just figured out that I have magical powers! So no I don't want tea."

"But we thought that you knew you had magical powers all ready?!"

I started to panic. I never have thought that I was some magical little fairy. I all ways thought that I was just some weird girl that nobody liked. Gladis keeps talking to me . I think I dosed off.

"Fern....Fern....FERN!"

"Oh,what!"

"YOUR HANDS!"
