Once upon a spell

Chapter 21

I hit my arm on the pavement hard. Sharp claws crave into my bare flesh . I wasn't until the Venom sunk into my skin that I realized what the creature was . The jabber walk .

"But I not in wonderland why are you here ?"
This is the challenge I thought . Before I left , Gladis told me a rhyme

You can't see me , but I can see you .
The bushes have voices , so listen well .And maybe you can undo my wicked spell.

Pined down on the road I know what Gladis meant. I slip my hand free from the jabber walks huge paw and cast a spell . Out of nowhere the beast turned into a beautiful young girl .

She looked about the same age as Me . Her long curled locks pulled back by a braid head band. She wears a long light blue dress made of Blue  satin. Her blue eyes piercing out of her full lashes , her full lips and cheeks pink and Rosie . I hated her.

"Thank you , you are very nobel ." The girls voice was soft and sweet.

"I am princess Kennedy!"
Of course you are . I thought .

"Might I ask what your name is ?"
I hesitated, I know that I can't trust any one, this princess made it easy .

"Fern." I say sourly.
"Well , thank you , Fern "
Kennedy practically laughed as she said my name. I really want to curse her . A lot.

"Do you know where a girl might find a tower to sleep in ?"
I ask uninterested.

"A tower? Why would you want to sleep in a tower when you could sleep at the lodge down the road!"

Ok so this princes is really annoying, but she does have a point . I do feel really tired .....

"Well let's go!"
The girl begins to skip and hop down the road . I make a run for it. Up the road I run , the complete opposite direction of the lodge . I see a sign up ahead . This is the only time I actually want to run .

I'm catching up to the sign now . I can see pictures . One of a road ,one of a cliff, and o e of a tower.

That's really convenient .

It doesn't matter now. I run in the direction of the tower. Faster and faster I run down the road.

I can see the tower form here! Getting closer . Run up the hill and doge a few fallen rocks , then I can save mom . I run those words over and over again in my head .

"Almost there."

I finally get to the tower after what seemed like forever. Now walking up to the tower I stop to take a breath. As soon as I exhale I hear the most horrid sound ....

It was Kennedy . I turn around to see that see is no longer pretty nor is she a princess. Her body twists and turns into weird formations as her bones crack and snap . A low bellow creeps out of Kennedy's snarled mouth , louder and louder the bellow slowly turns into a deafening shriek .

I cover my ears and curl into a ball. Im trying to contour up a spell but I can't focus. The shirking grows louder and louder every time I think about the terrible sound . Then it hits me ...

Stop thinking about the sound , stop thinking about the sound....

Out of nowhere , I cast a spell . I don't know what I did, but it worked . Kennedy had stopped shrieking and had disappeared . Now I can't hear anything and hear a loud buzzing noise in my head. The only thing that I want to do now is find my mom .
