The Girl Who Felt Alone

The Meet

I walked down the sidewalk at the dog park.
There were about 25 dogs here.
It was fall so the trees were all pretty.
Duke was sitting on one of the benches with his dog.
"Hey," Duke said.
"Hi, you wanted to see me?" I asked.
I sat down by Duke.
"Yeah, well I was wondering and I thought about it.
I see you stick up for yourself and well I like you."
He said.
I stood in shock.
No one had told me this before so I didn't know what to say.
"So what I'm trying to say is do you wanna be my girlfriend?" He asked.
That made it harder.
Now what am I supposed to say?
"Sure, ok" I said.
What did I just do?
I thought.
"Ok,cool cya later." He said.
He walked off.
I got my phone out and called Kat.
"Hey, can you pick me up?"I asked.
"Sure, where are you?" She asked.
"Over by the dog park."
She hung up.
I sat down by the waterfall and put on the song It's Going Down For Real.
About 5 min later Kat came.
I got in the car and before I knew it I was at my house.
"Bye," Kat said.
I walked to my room.
My theme for my room was black and white.
My cat was on my bed.
"Hey Shadow." I said.
Snowflake jumped on my bed.
"Hello Snowflake." I said.
My mom opened my door.
She looked at me with a stern look.
"You are flunking!" She yelled.
She sat on my bed and showed me my report card.
I almost started to cry.

My mom left the room.
I lay on my back with my arms spread out.
Tears ran down my face.
I feel asleep crying.
