CHAPTER 5

Sydney's POV

My body was shaking crazily as I grabbed

ice from the fridge and put in a ziplock bag.

I walk into my living room and Justin lays

dazed on the couch. His face is a bright red

with a few black and blue spots on his

cheeks and eye. I felt so bad.

"It's ok. Dad's calm now and is in his room.

If that boy doesn't wake up in the next 10

minutes were taking him to the hospital,"

my mom said.

20 MINUTES LATER

While sitting in the backseat, Justin's head

lays on my laps with soft eyes. Even though

he was in a trance, I could tell he was in

pain. I wasn't mad at my dad, actually, I

wasn't even thinking about him. The only

thing I was thinking about was Justin and

hoping he would be okay.

My mom helped me carry him out of the

car. When they took him away on a gurney,

I started to cry. It was like taking away your

whole heart. I couldn't bare it.

The doctor walked out of the room with his

face looking at the floor. My whole stomach

dropped. I could feel the hairs on my arms

stick up and I suddenly felt cold. "Umm...

He's okay," he mutters to my relief, "But, he

has a concussion and is in a very small

comma so you'll need to take good care of

him. He should wake up by tomorrow, if he

doesn't, call me. I'm sorry." I watch as h

walks away. He footsteps are slow and

smooth. I wait a few minutes, then get up to

see Justin. I open the door and see all the

valves and machines attached to his body. It

disgusts me. The nurse begins to take them

off, one by one. She seemed like she was in a

bad mood an I felt the same way.

The next day I woke up a little late but, saw

Justin across the room. He was still asleep

on the couch. I grabbed some breakfast and

sat next to him to watch tv. An hour later I

go to grab some water. I walk back in and

stand next to his tanned body. My head

leans on his with our noses touching. He

opens his eyes.
