CHAPTER 4

Sydney's POV

------------------------

The car ride was silent. I could tell he was sorry. I was completely mad at him but, when I looked

into his bluer than blue eyes, I suddenly felt sorry. I know what he had done was completely

wrong, and I know I should never speak to him again, but his eyes were screaming at me to let

him stay. When we drove into my street, I noticed a blue car, a lot like my dad's. Then I realized, it

was my dad's.

"Stop, stop the car," I yell. The car takes a sudden stop and Justin whiplashes. "My dad is here. I

can't have him see you." He's still silent. As I open the door, I stare at him with a pout. Before I get

out, I lean over and kiss his soft, still cheek. This is when he turns his head and finally looks at me,

his eyes have a sort of happiness in them.

My dad works on his bird-houses and such in the garage when I walk by. I try not to let him notice

me. To my luck, he doesn't and I'm able to walk into the house.

"So, how was that school thingy?" My mom asks.

"Oh, it was fine. It became a little late, sorry." I walk up to my room and lay on my bed. Justin is

amazing but, after a scene like that, how am I supposed to trust him? He is my best friend and I

don't want to ruin that. Our relationship is more than just holding hands, it's love, something you

can just let go. Suddenly, I here shouting coming from outside. When I look out my window, I see

Justin, getting up from the floor with blood all over his face, and my dad, a fist in the air shouting

at him. I sprint outside to Justin, knocked out on the floor. My tears drip on his bloody face as I

scream at my dad to stop. My face hugs his chest as his heart slowly pumps. What had happened

in the five minutes I was gone?

Justin's POV

-----------------------

I keep my eyes straight on the road. An awkward silence fills the car. I want to say something, but

I'm afraid of saying the wrong thing and losing her. Sweat rolls down my brow and my foot begins

to shake like a rattle snake's tail. I notice her staring at me with her drooping face and I began to

think, maybe we feel the same way. We were driving in her court when she suddenly yelled, "Stop,

stop the car." I panic and slam on the brakes, whipping my hand at her chest so she doesn't fly

out. "My dad is here, I can't have him see you." I don't speak, don't say a word, just stare at the

blank road ahead of me. When I think she's going out, she jumps and gives me a small kiss on the

cheek. That small kiss meant a lot, telling me my relationship was ok. I finally stare in her deep

eyes. I think we talk a little through them. Then, she closes the door and walks to her house.

I don't leave, I watch her as she hides from her dad safely and makes it through the front door. As

soon as I'm sure she's in, I drive up to the house. It was time to do what Niall told me I should do.

I walk slowly up to the garage, where her dad is working.

"Um, excuse me sir," he turns his body to look at me. His face is dirty and sweaty. "Hi, my names

Justin. Uh...Um..."

"Well go on!" He yells with a deep dark voice that'll make anyone scared out of their life.

"Your daughter and I...Um... We're d-d-dating."

"What did you just say?"

"I really love her and I'm sure she feels the same about me."

"How dare you even touch my daughter!" He stands up, he must be at least six feet tall. As he

walks over I feel my stomach cringing. I see veins in his neck popping and thrusting out as if

they're teasing me, telling me I'm dead. It was like slow motion. his arm raise high in the air with

a fist at his hand. It came to my face and slammed it. I fell back yelling at him. He didn't stop

when I got up. He grabbed my shoulders and kneed me in the stomach. Then he threw me across

the yard. I didn't know what to do while I was laying there. He ran over and kicked me four times.

This is when, with my last blinks, I saw Sydney running over to me. She was crying and I tried

telling her to stop, but words wouldn't come out of my mouth, only blood. She lays on me and my

eyes close into a trans.
