We make our way home soon after that. My only thought for the next couple hours is Mitch. Him. Everything about him. You know when you meet someone and your first thought is what the hell why are you so perfect. Yeah.. Me too. As soon as we get home I walk into my new house and go straight to bed. I don't even worry about unpacking. I just laid in my bed on top of the covers staring at the ceiling. After a while I slipped my feet under the now warm comforter. I thought. And tomorrow's Saturday.... I know where I'm going.
________I blink my eyes hard, trying to wake myself up. Light beamed through the window making a small warm spot on my torso. I moved my now open eyes to the alarm clock. Crap. 4pm. I slept for nearly 15 hours. I knew coming here was a bad idea... That Halloween party was in 1 hour. I needed to get ready. I got on my phone and went to YouTube to search for Halloween ideas. I put on a plain black shirt and a pair of ripped black skinny jeans before getting in my bag. I moved my hand through the suitcase, searching for my cream makeup. Then I went to my new bathroom and began turning myself into a skull. When I was done I looked at my watch to see it was 4:42. I ran out to the car, said bye to my new dad on the way and drove to the location he specified the night before.
Arriving at the party, I saw orange and black Halloween decorations along with carved pumpkins waiting at the gate. I walked up slowly before knocking on the door. Mitch opened the door and an automatic smile showed across his lips. His teeth are really white. I smiled back and looked down at my feet.
"Oh my goodness! I didn't think you'd actually come. I'm so happy you made it!" He then gestured for me to come in.
"Thank you. I had nothing else to do. Besides, you're pretty cool." I state. Shocked at myself, I felt heat rise to my face.
"I love your costume!" His cheeks were a bright pink color. How adorable. I smile slightly.
"Thank you." I said. He places his forefinger on my chin and raises my eyes to meet his gaze.
"Don't be shy, I won't hurt you." Again I'm awarded by a sweet smile displaying his brightly shining teeth, and his sweet dimples. The strings of lights wrapping around the house, reflect in his dark brown eyes. He's so beautiful. I still haven't moved to go inside, despite the invitation he offered before. He continues to stare at me, moving his eyes back and forth between mine and my lips. What's going on in that head of his? I awkwardly fiddle my fingers around, placing my eyes on the ground like before. He lets out a soft giggle.
"Coming in?" He asked, moving away, making me able to step inside his warm house. I look around his home, noticing all of his amazing decorations. A few people are dancing and talking. There's not many people here. I wander why... I'm too busy admiring the lights I don't realize he's standing beside me, staring at me with admiring eyes. I look over after a minute and my already red cheeks grow darker.
"What? You look like you've seen an angel." I say jokingly
"I have." He replied. "You."
I look at him and he looks away, shyly. I smile. Awh. That's adorable. He's so sweet.... Shut up faggot
You're a fucking weak ass bitch
You will never be happy.
You can't have him you freak, he's not even gay
Neither are you. You can't be. It's gross and unacceptable.
Fuck you
These thoughts run through my mind and soon enough my smile falls to a frown. He frowns too, noticing my change in mood.
"Hey, what's wrong?" He said moving in front of me.
"Nothing, I'm fine." My voice cracks in response to the tears threatening to escape. Why did my demons have to bother me here.
"I don't believe you...."
