Alex had found the entrance, which honestly to him looked like a hole leading into the ground. He checked his back pack one last time, a flash light, a rope, a package of dried food and a large bottle of water. He stepped towards the hole, looking in. The darkness seemed to consume every ray of light that tryed to enter. As he stepped in it felt like a completely different room, the stale air making it difficult to breathe. He looked around, his eyes trying to adjust to the lighting. As it did the shapes of the walls seemed to appear. He began walking forward, deeper and deeper into the hole. He turned his head, trying to look back towards the opening though it seemed to disappear. "Okay. Okay. Don't freak out, just keep going until you get to a cross hair then go left. We can do this." He said aloud to himself as he walked into the darkness. Shiver spread over his warm body as a cold breeze flowed threw the shaft. As he walked further he came upon a split, one path continuing straight next to it a tunnel seemed to head off to the left, spiderwebs covering the opening making it seem like it hadn't been explored in years. He took that path, moving his arms up to wipe away the spiderwebs as he made his way deeper. About ten steps in the toe of his boot caught onto a rocks edge making him stumble forward, his hands stretched out in front of him to protect him from the fall he expected to come, when it didn't he opened his eyes a pair of bright green eyes staring back at him. His breathing hitched as he gazed at the thing, but as soon as it was there it was gone again. He stood straight, running his fingers threw his now messy hair. He walked further, he didn't know why but he felt like he had to go further as if he was going to stumble upon a giant secret. A voice began echoing off the walls of the shaft "Alex! Help! Alex please!!" The sound of fear laced threw a yelling voice made Alex break out into a full sprint, but as he ran towards the voice it seemed to be becoming further and further away. He followed the voice though he couldn't see where it came from suddenly the ground beneath his feet disappeared making his body tumble down for what seemed like forever when his eyes opened he was surrounded by water. The water smelt like sewage, he rubbed the blood from his forehead and mumbled "great what have I gotten myself into?"
