I'm not that girl. That girl you find in your normal school, with her perfect hair and clothes. I'm that girl that you'll find at the back of the class with her black clothes and different hair. That girl that no one wants to be friends with or paired out with in science class. I'm just...different.
The names Violet, and I'm fifteen years old. I'm not the wealthiest, but my family isn't flat-broke. My dad died when I was seven, he was the only person I really trusted. I live in an okay house on the on the north side of Tenet, California, with my mother and newborn adopted baby brother named Terrace. My mom works at a power plant upstate. She works probably ten hours a day, never home most of the time. I usually take care of Terrece when I get home.
At school I'm probably the least popular person in the whole grade. My teachers are the only people who know who I am, sometimes a teacher would have know idea. My only friends are outside of school because everyone that's in my school is an idiot, they don't know the difference between an apple and a pear. I kinda find it amusing when I watch them try to tell the difference. And they think they are all better than I am, please.
I have pretty good grades if I say so myself and my favorite class is English. I love literature, writing and reading. I've always been able to get lost in any book I read. I always find myself up till one am reading a book. Sometimes I find myself sitting in the schools library at lunch instead of being in the lunchroom were the kids just throw food everywhere.
I do have friends, my friends live in the town over called Giblets. I know weird name right, I make fun of them all the time, there names are Dan, Connor, and Kingston. We always meet at a café after school. We always sit in the far left corner near the kitchen.
Everything played out the same, like a schedule everyday, I get out of bed, feed Terrace, trudge to school, listen to the teacher ramble on about some useless thing, read a couple books at lunch, go to the café with Connor, Dan, and Kingston, and go home. Until one day, someone actually noticed me at school and everything changed.
