You and Jim have been best friends ever since you can remember. You guys played together as kids, went to the same schools, went on double dates together, went to college together, and started working at Dunder Mifflin together (both as salesmen). You guys were inseparable, and spent almost everyday together. So as fate would have it, you fell in love with Jim.
You started to notice these feelings back in high school, so it killed you every time Jim got a girlfriend. You being the supportive friend that you are, you always gave him advice on girls and was always there for those hard break ups. You were always there for him, and he was always there for you. You always wanted the best for him and to always be happy, so when he fell in love with Pam, you supported him and gave him advice (when he needed it of course).
Pam was nice to you and was friendly, but you guys weren't friends. Just coworkers and your best friends girlfriend. You made a silent pact with yourself to always help Jim and to never tell him your feelings. So when he and Pam started dating, you congratulated them and when you got home you cried your eyes out and wished them happiness.
