Daisies in a field
do not fall
though the wind blows
but when the days
become cold
they are the
first
to wither
The silence in our mind
resembled a
great and
maddening darkness
which burned
through the
loudest thought
and reduced
it
to ashes within
wavering seconds
of uncertainty
and you fought
the flames
like a soldier
fights the enemy
for the silence
was the enemy
causing only a
damaging
ache of
emptiness
within the core of
the body
and the pit
of the soul.
And yet
you
did not
give up
constantly fighting
the fire of silence
and the tides of
regret
your mind
had no room
for another
monster
but as soon as
you felled
one
another would
rise
yet
you
still
fought.
