3rd person POV

Alex was woken up by the sound of her annoying alarm clock she got up and stretched with her arms over her head making a non human like sound. She walked over to her closet to pick out what she would wear since she washed just before she went to bed last night. She picked out a grey sweater, black jeggings, brown boots and an elephant bracelet and a scarf. She went to the bathroom and brushed her teeth. She pulled back parts of her hair leaving the bottom hanging and two front pieces.

She walked down stairs finding her mom rushing grabbing her coffee and a piece of toast. "hey mom why are you rushing" she asked "work called they need me now something is going on with the technology" she said Alex's mom is the head technician at a big corporation is North Carolina. "Okay bye mom love you" Alex said just before her mom left giving her a kiss on the cheek before she leaves.

Alex grabbed a chocolate chip muffin before heading out to catch the bus. She got to the bus stop just as it drove up. She walked onto the bus saying hello to Fran the bus driver. The bus pulled up to the school 15 minutes later since Alex's house is one of the last houses that the bus stops at. She gets off the bus and walks over to the big tree in front of the school and sits waiting for Scarlett to meet her. Not long after she sits down Scarlett gets out of her car and walks over to the tree. Scarlett is Alex's best friend has been since 1st grade they've had their ups and downs but always fix it. "Hey Alex" Scarlett says as she sits down next to Alex pulling out an apple biting into it then offering some to Alex. Alex declines by shaking her head no. "Why you so down" Scarlett asks Alex after she notices she's down. "we have the team project and they are making 2 team doing 12 in a group and  I really don't want Lyric in our group she doesn't do anything, I had her last semester for an english project I did everything and she didn't even write her name on it she made me do that too" Alex says upset and a little worried that she'll be in a group with Lyric. "come on she can't be that bad" Scarlett says a little worried about her after she hears what Alex says.

After first period math, and second english Alex and Scarlett walk to third period which is biology which is were they are doing the project on sea life. Ale x and Scarlett take their seats in the middle of the room and start talking still class starts. The teacher walks in Mrs. Johnson "good morning class I'm gonna assign your groups today and y'all have till next month to finish but I suggest y'all start as soon as y'all can" she says "group one is Marcus Jones, Sarah Wilson, Jude Mikaelson , Anders Moore, Nichole Sanders, Faye Storm, Connor Williams, Sam Johnson, Teresa Scott, Noah Brant, Hudson Rooney, and Emily Clark" she says handing out the papers we have to fill out for the project "group two is Toby Owens, Scarlett Henry, Alexandria Marshall, Lyric Taylor, Jensen Cole, Isaac Stevens, Riley Cruz, Isabella Smith, Ashton Porter, Colin Hunter, Daniel Pierce and Abbey Clark" she says sitting down everyone from Alex's group looks at each other Toby and Ashton glaring at each other Isabella and Abbey gushing over Toby excited they got him, Riley glaring at Lyric who s equally glaring back Jensen  starring at us like we are all a waste of his time, he's the out cast doesn't talk much. Toby is your typical jock good looking well built but not a a dumb jock he's quite smart bit he will deny it if anyone ever says it. Isabella and Abbey are cheerleaders and best friends both wanting to date Toby. Riley is like Jensen a loner but she has pretty good style. Colin comes from a rich family but he isn't one of those snobby rich kids he's actually really nice and has great manners and is really tall. Isaac he's your nerd but he's actually really cute he moved here from England two years ago he's freaky smarty. Daniel is a normal guy he's nice, pretty quiet. Lyric is your snobby rich girl has everything and is a complete and udder butt munch. Emily is Abbeys sister but they are very different Emily loves to play softball and soccer where as Abbey wouldn't touch any kind of ball or anything to do with sports . Ashton is one Alex's best friends besides Scarlett he comes from a middle class family just like Alex and Scarlett, he's one of the kindest people you will ever meet though he does have bad taste in girls. Scarlett is from a middle class family she lives with her mom and dad and he younger brother Max.

"Everyone into your groups and start working" Mrs. Johnson says. The two groups split Alex and her group move to the left side next to the windows.
