Chapter 2

Alex's POV

As we all move to our side of the room I grab Scarlett and pull her to the corner seat so I don't have to worry about the others. "So what are we gonna do for the project" Daniel asks as he takes a seat across from Lyric "I don't care as long as it doesn't ruin my new manicure I just got it done and it was 150$" she says while chewing her gum. "We could use my dads boat and go out and look and see what we can find out in the ocean" Daniel says "why would we want to go to the ocean" Isabella asks stupidly. "Well going out could help us understand how and what it's like to live out in the ocean and see the different species of marine life in the water" I say to the group. "Great so we will head out this Friday and stay out till Sunday and we can meet after school and head to the boat tomorrow" Daniel says 'I guess' 'sure' 'okay' were the reply's he got.

The bell rang and Scarlett, Ashton, and I all headed to the rest of our classes then Scarlett and I head over to my house to hang out and pack for the weekend. We pick out what I'm wearing tomorrow (on the side) we pick me out a orange bikini to put in a bag a tea shirt and some shorts, flip flops, a hat, glasses, and a bag for me to carry some more clothes in. We pack some more clothes and extra just in case. After picking out all of our clothes we finish our homework and start some movies and decide to have a sleepover we watch the longest ride, 22 jump street, and the first time then decide to head to sleep.

Scarlett wakes me up by jumping on my stomach saying "GET UP YOU HOE" she yells in my ears. I slowly get up and put on my clothes we picked out last night I brush my teeth and hair with two different kind of brushes incase you were wondering or thought I was weird I go down stairs remind my mom of the plans grab sunblock, aloe, lots bottles of water, and three towels. I run back upstairs grab my phone and head to the bus with Scarlett.

We get to school with ten minutes till the bell and head to our first period classes, then second, after that we head to Biology and sit in the seats we sat in yesterday and wait for class to start Ashton walks in and takes a seat across from me we talk abut random stuff and school. By the time class starts everyone is here in their seat. "Okay students since everyone is in their groups I want y'all to talk about what you all are gonna do for your project and I want y'all to each do the same amount of work" Mrs. Johnson says and I lean over to Scarlett and whisper "maybe Lyric will do actual work this project" "hopefully" she whispers back.

" Since we will be leaving today and coming Sunday we need to discuss whos doing what in the project" Toby says. "Alex can do the art work instead of us just printing pictures out and she's really good" Ashton says "Okay that sounds good" Toby responded back. After about what felt like forever even though it was only about an hour we figured out what everyone was going to be doing in the project Lyric even got to be the one to collect the materials in the ocean like the shells and clams and other things which she was hugely against till Jensen said she could always be the one who cut open the fish to see what it was like in side then she gladly took the collection job. 

School was almost out and our group got to leave about thirty minutes early so that we could get to the boat and leave the dock before it got dark. It was about a two and a half hour drive and we drove in four different cars, Lyric, Abbey, Isabella in one car Toby, Daniel, and Colin in one car, Jensen, Isaac and Riley in another car, and Ashton, Scarlett and I in the last car, we were all following behind Toby, Daniel and Colin because we were not exactly sure where the boat was. We arrived and we all parked near each other and grabbed all our stuff I had two bags and so did Scarlett and Riley, the boys all had one bad except for Isaac and his second bag a bunch of sunblock and aloe and bug spray which I'm glad that he came prepared. Lyric, Abbey and Isabella all had three and they were packed full. We all started heading toward where the boat was and when we got there my mouth dropped wide.

So I hadn't worked on this book since January but somebody actually voted on my story and I was happy so I'm gonna try and work on it some more in my free time
