India's POV:

It was a regular day in Corona. It was crazy hot & I had no moves to make. Days like this I wish I had me a little bae or something to spend time with. I'm always working & forgetting that I'm still a teenager. Yeah, I've worked my ass off for so long, but it would be nice to have that special someone by my side, supporting me, ya know? I came back to reality when I heard the voice of my sister Crystal enter my room.

"Hey babes!" She giggled, giving me her usual bubbly personality. "Nothing much mamas, it's too damn hot in this house!" " Yeah, I know dad said the AC was all the way up, but it doesn't even feel like it." Ugh i hated days like these! They were absolutely unbearable. I looked at my lit buzzing iPhone, indicating my best friend Matika had just texted me.

From Mii Teeks ;) :

Girl, I got the move for you babygirl. Kick back at Corona del Mar State Beach! Meet me there at 7!

To Mii Teeks ;) :

Girl....

From Mii Teeks ;) :

Pleaaaaaase c'mon! It could be fun!

To Mii Teeks ;) :

If the shit ain't poppin, you ain't catchin me there a second later...

From Mii Teeks;) :

Awwweee thanks best friend! See you later <3

To Mii Teeks ;) :

Bye babe!

With that, i looked up at Crystal who was now absorbed into her phone.

"Teeks just told me that there was some type of function at the state beach if you wanna make an appearance," I said. " Hmmm, sounds interesting. I might have to show my face then. What time?," she asked. I told her that it was later at 7, so she left my room to get ready I guess. It was only 5:30 in the afternoon, so I decided to take a power nap.

LATER THAT AFTERNOON:

The sun was blazing down into a beautiful sunset. It was just now 7:20 pulling up to the mar. I guess the kickback had already been going on for a good while despite Teeks wanting me to meet her here at 7:00. I just had to be a little fashionably late. As I was typing on my phone to see if Teeks had made it, I bumped into someone who nearly knocked me down, including knocking me out of breath.

"Damn, I totally didn't see you there! Are you okay?" There stood a tall lightskin male figure hovering over me. I couldn't really see his beautifully colored eyes until he took his hat off to pardon himself.
"Just watch what you're doing next time, okay?!" That may have came out more harshly than I intended it to because he looked at me with an upset expression.
"Well damn, it was an accident," he said throwing up his hands and walking away.
"Shit," I mumbled to myself. Crystal sighed in her "disappointed mom attitude" with her hand on my shoulder. She patted it before leaving my side which only left me with myself until Teeks bum rushed me.
"Here's my bad bitch! Haha c'mon boo," she beamed. Parties weren't really my thing unless they were really poppin, so I don't know what this night had in store for me. So far it seemed too chill. Teeks and I were introduced to a couple of new people. It started to get crowded so we sat by a bonfire and started roasting a couple of marshmallows. As I look up from my burning marshmallow, I noticed the same guy who knocked into me earlier, was staring at me from across the fire. I was trying to concentrate on what Teeks was saying, but his emerald eyes were burning a hole in me. He was was staring at me like he was trying to figure me out. I was kind of annoyed by now, so I just did everything in my power not to give him the satisfaction. A couple of minutes go by and I had completely indulged in the conversation Teeks and I were having until I felt a strong presence sit next to me. I looked over just to see the same mystery man.
   "May I sit here?,"
"You may not. Please go away,"
"Well what if I wanted to stay here?,"
"Teeks, let's go.." Before I could escape his presence, he softly grasped my arm which instantly made me freeze in motion.
"Wait, I don't wanna ruin your night. I just really felt bad for nearly embedding you into the sand earlier... I didn't mean to hurt you. I just came over to make sure you're straight," he said while searching for an answer within my eyes.
"It's okay, really.. It's okay," I managed to whisper. His touch was so warming against my skin. I felt a comfort I had never felt before. He let go of my arm and placed his hands in the pockets of his swim trunks. He smile at me, which instantly made me have shortened breaths. As I started to turn away with Teeks by my side, he yearned for my attention.
"Hey, I don't know your name."
"I guess that's something you'll never know," I told him.
"I think otherwise. See you later beautiful," he laughed. With one swift motion, he was gone.

He thinks otherwise? What could he have possibly meant by that? I was perplexed needless to say.
