AU: Solider Dean
You stood outside the airplane gates. You could smell the scent of all the restaurants and people combined, mixing together to create the complete smell of the airport. The multi colored carpets covered the floor and you were surrounded by people waiting in line in security. Few were waiting for the same plane as you, it was a small aircraft.
Your body was shaking in anticipation and excitement. Then the board that updated you about the flight status changed, "Landed" is what it now read. A giant smile erupted across your face.
That's when you saw it. You saw the green uniform of a solider turn the corner. He turned the corner and immediately caught sight of you. His face lit up. You remembered the tousled sandy blonde hair, the freckles scattered all over his face, but you mostly remember those eyes. Those emerald green eyes that sparkled like the morning sun when it hits the morning dew, the eyes that looked at you with the passion of the ocean waves churning in a storm. The green eyes you missed waking up to in the morning.
Dean Winchester was home.
You saw him immediately drop his bags and he picked up his stride until he was sprinting towards you, he didn't stop when he got close.
It was like a scene in the movies, where everything was in slow motion. He started to slowdown his pace but not in time. He ran straight into you, pulling you into his arms and twirling you around.
Your small body fit perfectly into his as he hooked his arms around your waist and holds you against him, making sure there was no space in between you both. His arms and back muscles were stronger and harder then you remembered then being, most likely from all the training. You had tears streaming down your face but you were wearing a smile that held true happiness. You heard Dean sniffle a sob and he was laughing with overwhelming happiness. Neither of you pulled away. You stood their for a while, crying but laughing together. After he pulled away he showed you in kisses.
You solider was home.
