Heartbeat

I got out of bed and opened the door to a scared Hunter, confused I let him in.

"Are you okay?" I asked, confused and scared for him. I really don't know what got into him, after the party he was fine so I don't know what happened...

"Long story short, I bumped into Josh in the lobby and he threatened me that if I hurt you in anyway he'd hunt me down" Hunter explained, shocked I dropped my phone on the floor cracking the screen and pulling Hunter in for a hug. 

"He's always been the jealous type and honestly don't think of it as a threat, every guy I've been with after him he's done that to and he really didn't give a shit if I got hurt or not so don't take his ass seriously" I explained. Josh has always been like that so to be honest it's not a surprise to me at this point, he's always pissed if I get a boyfriend he doesn't like.

"Really?" He questioned seeming shocked. 

"Yeah, he's just trying to scare you off like everyone else so he can make me miserable again" I continued, it really is just how he is I just don't give a damn.

"Oh, okay. Well that'll never happen" He continued, I looked at him like a confused puppy learning how to sit. 

"Kalista, I've been meaning to ask you since the other day but I only realized now that I want to be with you.." Hunter said as he gently held my hand in his and softly kissing my cheek, making my cheeks beet red. My heart rate rose as he continued, making me blush even more as he talked.

"So..Kalista, Would you like to go on a date with me tomorrow afternoon?" Hunter asked with a big smile on his face, I loved him too so I couldn't say no to the most handsome man in my life and the hottest country singer in the world. I couldn't stop smiling as he held me close and kissed my lips softly taking my breathe away as we stared into each others eyes. 

The sun rose the next day as I awoke from the squeaky bed of the Hotel we were staying in, I heard a quiet knock on the door as if to not wake me up. I giggled as I slowly opened the door to a sleepy, messy haired Hunter leaning on the door frame with a small sheepish grin on his face to seem like it was all part of his little plan.

"What are you doing here so early? We don't leave for Texas till tonight and our date isn't till the afternoon" I questioned as he held me close to him as if he were to kiss me. He looked like he was in a dream world but not, We were only talking but it's as if it was only a dream to us both but in reality it was all real. Slowly he pulled me in to hold me close to his chest making sure it was real to him and myself, Slowly everything became a reality and I finally snapped and smiled like a crazy cat woman when she gets a new member of the family to bring home and smother with love and food. Hunter looked down at me and raised a brow, laughing as he held me close and kissed my forehead like this was a normal thing to him. 

"It's 10:30 and I figured you'd want to get some coffee first before we head out to lunch" He continued holding me closer to him making sure I'd never leave him, I'd be crazy enough to leave this handsome man in my life I'd be dumb enough to actually leave him for someone not as good as him. No matter how hard things may get something good will come as a reward later on even if things may look shit now, just always remember that no one will stop you for being you no matter how much judgment you get in life nothing should ever change the real you. I nodded as those thoughts ran through my head, sometimes I don't even take my own advice so I really need to. 

"Well I mean if we're going out for coffee, I should probably get ready to go then" I said as I pulled away from the hug, Hunter smiled and kissed my forehead again. I felt so protected by him like nothing could hurt me as if I were invincible to all of these problems in my life. 

"I'll let you do that, I'll meet you in the lobby in half an hour?" Hunter questioned looking at his watch and leaning on the door frame like a goof. 

"Sounds good to me, I'll see you in a few honey" as I grab my towel and leaving Hunter a long slow kiss. I gently closed the door behind him and jumped into the shower as quickly as possible and pulling on my skinny jeans and red flannel as well as my black converse and white hoodie. I grabbed my phone and headed out the door and running down the stairs and into the lobby, to see a nicely dressed Hunter waiting for me at the door with a quick glance I see a hoard of girls running towards him from the doors like a flock of pigeons to a piece of bread. I smiled and giggled as Hunter got swarmed with girls asking for autographs and photos with him, I waved and sat down on the stairs waiting for the mob to disappear only hours later did they finally leave and I was slowly drifting into sleep when I felt a poke on my cheek. I opened my eyes to see a messy haired Hunter once again, I smiled and pulled him down beside me leaning on his shoulder and holding his hand tightly.  

"How was the mob?" I asked laughing and smiling.

"Pretty crowded but other than that it was alright, would've been nicer with coffee but ya know mobs" he laughed and kissed my forehead to remind me that he loves me and always will.

"We still got lunch we can get, you still up for that Mr. Messy head" I laughed 

"Only if Mrs. Messy head is ready" He smiled like a goof as he stood up reaching out his hand for me to take, I gladly took it and held his hand tightly. 

It only seemed right that we stopped for coffee at a local coffee shop before getting to the restaurant down the road from the hotel, I mean it's coffee and we both love coffee like its a drug coursing through our veins. Even at the coffee shop fan girls were everywhere we looked, it's like a hoard of zombies to the scent of freshly cut human flesh or some shit. I honestly crack myself up sometimes and I don't know how anyone could like me with humor like that but sometimes my humor catches the right ones and I can be happy for a bit till they realize that I'm annoying and they can't deal with me for very long after maybe a year or so....
