Chapter 3

Hey! Sso this chapter is about how Max finds out and how Allie finds out about herself.

I got off the bus, I ran up to the little house where my brother is. I went and unlocked the door my hands shaking still. I was going to get an explanation. The first one since my Jackson said that I'd get nightmares. Other than that this is my first real explanation! I was looking forward, I was really happy but at the same time I was scared I didn't want to know at the same time. I dropped my backpack at the front door and raced up the steps to his room. He wasn't there. I ran back down them and found Jackson sitting in the Kitchen.

He was in the KItchen with books, and journals all around him. His face was hard and serious. I knew I was in for it. Time for a long explanation.

"Eat this." He said handing me a Hershey's bar. "Now sit."

I did as I was told and sat down and unwrapped the candy bar.

"Kim." He said taking a deep breathe. "Your nightmares will become much more frequent in this town." He was looking me straight in the eye. I did not dare interrupt him. "This is our home town. This is the town where everything began. Mom died here. She died about three years ago when we were out in London. Dad died about two years before mom." He paused and looked to make sure I was paying attention before continuing on. "I made the decision of moving here because this is where the opening is. This town. It is haunted with many people like us Kim. People who don't belong any where else in the world. You get nightmares because those are the things that you will be set out to complete. You will save many peoples lives Kim. You are special. You get the nightmares. I've called them nightmares for you because that is the easiest explanation. Really you get visions. These visions are the things before they happen but its the visions of what you're not going to do. You are going to save those people. All those people that have died in your visions. Soon you will begin to get these visions when you are awake. This town is where your family is from. Our cousin Logan, and his sister Annabelle. Then there is our Grandmother who, I've been keeping in touch with lately for, she works at your school. She's the Algebra teacher she's been keeping an sharp eye on you to make sure you don't crack at school. And Alex he is our brother. He is our little brother. He has been living with Aunt Suzanne because we all had to split. Aunt Suzanne is Mom's only sister. Alex I never told you about him because I knew you would try looking for him." He looked at me straight in the eye. "Alex is abusive. He doesn't want to accept his faith." and then that was the end of my brother. "You Kim you are already accepting it by letting the visions come to you. Kim we're from this place called Irieoz. It's a different world that has only one entrance in this world. Which just happens to be in this tiny-ass town. But it is here where it all began. So when your time comes you'll go to Irieoz. You'll have me, your grandmother, your Aunt Suzanne, your cousins, and who ever else has come from Irieoz. Which in this town is about seventy-five percent of all people living here."

There was a long pause as I let things set in. then Jackson began again "We're different and your special talent will soon show itself once you become of age. I know that yes there is an age for driving, for high school, for getting your period, for sex, but Kim I mean age as in when you get sent out to fight. The day you are ready for it all. But do remember that there are bad people. They want you. I'll explain why they want you when you are away from here and earth. Don't trust everyone Kim. You here me?" He waited for me to answer.

I nodded my head.

"I want you only talking about this with me and our Grandmother. Our grandmother will always talk to you no matter what. you hear? I can only protect you so much. Don't you dare tell anyone but me and our grandmother." His voice was shaking and he was looking me right in the eyes. Meaning that if I did, I'd be a goner and i wouldn't be able to earn his trust back.
