Bluenose felt himself shaking... He opened his eyes, seeing Sandfoot shaking him trying to wake him up. "Wake up you lazy furball!" she meowed. He sat up and grunted. "We're going on dawn patrol." she meowed and walked out of the den. He stretched and hurried after her.

They walked along the LightningClan border, scanning the other side of the border in case a patrol came along. "Hopefully those mangepelts won't interfere with us." he thought when they were halfway along the border. He heard rustling on LightningClan territory, and saw a patrol emerge from the brush. "Mouse-dung!" he halted and so did the rest of the patrol. The LightningClan patrol stalked up to them. Both patrols glared at each other. "What do you want." growled Branchfur, the leader of the SnowClan patrol. "Stop acting like you don't know!" snapped Snaketail, the leader of the LightningClan patrol,"One of your warriors has been trespassing on our territory!" "Have any proof of that?" asked Branchfur. "Something, has been killing prey on our territory, and leaving the bones!" hissed Snaketail. "And so you automatically assume it's us." sneered Brachfur. "Ever think it was something other than a clan cat? No clan cat would go and eat prey out in the open in another clans territory!" Branchfur exclaimed. Snaketail snorted and started stalking away.
