The day had come.
I brushed my fingertips against the outlines of my wall hoping that the memories would always be imprinted in my mind.
"Lani C'mon lets go!" my mum yelled from outside.
I snapped out of my trance immediately and wiped the tears and kissed the front door of the house that I had lived in since I was a foetus.
I slowly turned and looked at mum, "can't we stay another night puhleeaase," I pleaded while trying to imitate a puppy face by going down on all fours and pouting.
By her look and my friends reaction I definately looked ridiculous but I didnt care.
She would have to chain me to the car if she thought I was moving.
"Lani Moana Jensen you have postponed this trip for two whole weeks...and we are not missing our flight!" She scolded.
"I will chain your backside to this car if I have too!"
"Darn it," I mumbled while getting up.I shot my friends the HELP ME YOU IDIOTS DON'T YOU WANT ME TO STAY? look.
I looked down in defeat when the girls tackled me in a bear tight hug."We dont want you to go but you dont have any other choice," Alison, painstakingly admitted.
I sobbed into their shoulders "Will we always keep in touch?"
"Always," they replied in unison.
"always?" I asked once more.
"Always, " they replied while shoving me towards the car cause they knew I was stalling so we could miss the flight.
Hugging them once more I ran towards the cab so mom would stop annoying the driver by honking.
I was ready to let go.
