A/N.: Set during "Nightmare in Silver". I don't own anything. I'm just a fangirl. Please don't sue me.

The Doctor's brain has been partially corrupted by the Cybermen. Now he is at war with himself. He has asked for Clara's presence.

"How do I know that it's you? Tell me something only the Doctor would know", she asks.

"Clara, I suppose nobody knows how I feel about you right now. How funny you are, so funny. And pretty. The truth is, I have started to like you in a way that's more than just-"

SLAP

~Time skip~

The Cybermen have been destroyed. The good have won. Clara and the Doctor are back in the TARDIS, ready to drop the kids off.

But the Doctor has a thought itching in his brilliant mind. When he was back at the theme park, when he was talking to Clara, he pretended that it was the corrupted side of him talking. It wasn't true. He confessed his feelings to Clara without her even knowing. Now, he had to tell her the truth. He might never get the chance.

"Clara!" he called as she was about to go. "Can you wait just a minute? I want to talk to you"

Clara walked back to him, letting the TARDIS door close behind her.

"Yes?" she asked.

"Clara um... Do you remember, back there, when you asked me to prove that I was the real Doctor?" he started

"Yes"

"Well, do you remember what I answered?" continued the Doctor.

She simply nodded, curious.

"Well, Clara, what I said, about my umm feelings... was true. I just went with it when you slapped me. I didn't want to start something unimportant in the middle of a battle. I just hoped you would believe me, and maybe....."

"Don't", said Clara before leaning up to him and crashing their lips together.

The Doctor was completely bewildered of this action. It took him a moment to respond. He wrapped his arms around her waist as she wrapped hers around his neck. After a bit, Clara pulled away, smiling.

"Well then", said the Doctor with a big goofy smile on his face.

Then, he leaned in, a hand behind Clara's neck, and kissed her once more, making the connection last longer.
