Chapter 2

*Liam’s POV*

I was surprised to see three girls in the alley. These weren’t any girls, these were girls from Nottingham. “What’re three girls like you doing outside of the palace walls?” I smirked.

“Nottingham is not a palace. It’s nowhere near as nice as a palace” one of the girls said. She had medium length blonde hair. Her blue eyes sparkled in the moonlight.

“Well m’lady, the name’s Liam. Liam Payne” I said and took a step toward them. Two of the girls backed away.

“I’m Bella, this is Lillie and that’s Kacey” the one who didn’t move said.

“So, tell me, what are you doing in Cambridge?” I asked and leaned against one of the cars in the alley.

“Kacey’s house is scary and my grandma is a nutjob” Bella said as the other two came forward. “What are you doing in an alley at midnight?” she asked me.

“I’m allowed to be out here. It’s you who shouldn’t be here. It’s dangerous out here” I said and jumped onto the hood of the car. I sat down and leaned against the windshield.

“Liam? Who are they?” Niall asked as he and the other boys walked over to me.

“Bella, Kacey and Lillie. They’re from Nottingham” I smirked and rolled off the car.

“We don’t see many of you folks ‘round here” Zayn said and licked his lips. I saw the girls stiffen at the sight of all of us guys.

“Don’t worry, we won’t hurt you. As long as you don’t go too far north, you’ll be fine” I said to them. Kacey down at her phone.

“We need to go, it’s almost past curfew” she said and grabbed Lillie’s arm.

“Yeah, but we’re going to my house. Even if my parents are being asswipes and won’t shut up” Lillie said.

“Damn they were hot” Harry said as they walked away. The other boys laughed and agreed. We started walking toward Zayn’s house.

“What did you say their names were?” Louis asked as we walked into Zayn’s house.

“Lillie, Kacey and Bella” I answered as I sat on the couch.

“That Bella chick was hot. I would tap that, without a doubt” Zayn said and sat next to me. We all stayed at Zayn’s house that night. I woke up the next morning with Niall’s head in my lap and Harry’s head on my shoulder. Zayn and Louis were cuddled together on the other side of the couch.

“Hey guys, I had a dream that I married Lillie and then we fucked” Harry said and started laughing. We all joined him in laughter.

“She was pretty hot, I still think Kacey was the most beautiful girl I’ve ever met” I said and I felt my cheeks heat up.

“Does little Liam have a crush? Seriously mate, you don’t call girls beautiful unless you’re serious about them. That’s what our parents taught us” Louis said and went to the kitchen.

“I don’t know. There was something about her that just made me feel like I need her” I said and rubbed the back of my neck. “She was flawless, I need to see her again. I’ll die if I don’t” I rubbed my eyes and stood up.

“We should go hop the fence to get into Nottingham and see them all again” Niall suggested. I shrugged and got up.

“I don’t know how we’d find them. I don’t know where they live” I said and walked into the kitchen. I grabbed a plate of the eggs Louis cooked and started eating. We all ate and then we decided to leave. We all got on our bikes and rode to the Nottingham gates. “How are we getting across?” I asked as we parked our bikes.

“We climb, and die” Louis said in a very serious tone.

“Fuck you” I laughed and nudged him playfully. He laughed and nudged me back.

“Quit flirting and help us climb over” Harry said causing me and Louis to look at each other in disgust.

“He’s not my type” Louis said and pretended to flip his hair over his shoulder. I laughed at his “sassiness”.

“How are we going to find them? This place is hu-” I was cut off by screaming girls. I looked up and saw three girls screaming their lungs out.

“Shut the fuck up! I’m trying to carry these in!” a fourth girl said. Louis made a whistling noise and all of the girls went silent. They turned and looked at us. Bella, Lillie and Kacey’s eyes got wide as they saw us. “Do you know them?” the other asked. The three girls nodded.

“They’re probably scared of us” Niall mumbled. I shrugged and helped Harry climb over. After we all made it over the girls were trying to explain to the other girl who we were.

“Look who it is. Bella, Kacey and the beautiful Lillie” Niall smiled and winked at Lillie. She looked down and blushed.

“Who is your little friend?” Louis asked them.

“I’m Bailey, I just moved here” she smiled at Louis. His eyes were a bright blue. The only time any of us have ever seen Louis’ eyes get bright like that is when he’s in love.

“Louis’ got a crush” I teased him. He gave me a look and I laughed.

“Bailey, this is Liam, Niall, Harry, Zayn and Louis. They live over in Cambridge” Kacey explained to Bailey.

“Pleasure to meet all of you” Bailey smiled and shook their hands.

“So what brings you boys to Nottingham?” Bella asked. She was clearly the fearless and mysterious one, much like Zayn.

“You” Zayn gave her smirk and she bit her lip. Zayn was about to say something but then a few adults came out of Bailey’s house.

“Who are they? I can tell they aren’t from around here” one of them said.

“It’s okay, they’re with us” Kacey told the woman. She looked at all of us boys and I could tell she didn’t like us.

“Come inside, Bailey. We have more important issues to take care of” the woman said and ushered her inside. Bailey gave Louis one last look before going inside.

“You guys can’t be here. Not in the daylight. If anyone else sees you, shits gonna go down” Kacey looked at me and then looked down at the ground. There was something in her eyes that made me want to stay longer, even if it meant having problems.

“She’s right, if anyone sees you here they could kick us out of Nottingham” Lillie said.

“We should go, I don’t want any problems” Harry said and grabbed my arm. I looked back at Kacey and her blue eyes sparkled. I must’ve been staring because the whole way home, all the boys were teasing me.
