"Fuck, fuck, fuck," Freya cursed again and again as she got her books out of her locker and started to brisk walk.
"If you keep doing that, your fucks are going to fly away." Sophia tells her while catching up. Freya ignored Sophia's comment and sat down on her chair as she entered her last class.
Her last period, Science is her favorite. Mainly because the girls are there.
Sophia sat down next to her and sighed.
'Should I tell her?'
The other three weeks already there sitting directly next to each other. Danielle was fast asleep while Salia was reading a book.
Regine, Freya and Sophia couldn't forget about what had happened last night. They all barely got any sleep.
"How could've it got out? That can't be..." Freya bit her lip and stared at the board pretending to listen to the lesson.
Regine felt something churn in her stomach. Guilt.
She couldn't take it anymore. She, Sophia and Salia has to tell the two. They have to or else the five of them won't be able to fix this.
"Ms. Tallorin, do you know the answer?" Their kind and favorite teacher, Mrs. Seva asks.
If there's one teacher in school that they'd want to hang out with, it'll totally be Mrs. Seva.
Usually, the five would know the answer and raise their hands all together or back up the other but this time was different.
None of them know the answer. Heck, they don't even know the question. Danielle was already awake, Salia settled her book down and the three were pretending to listen.
Last night was a shock. It filled them with confusion, anger, and of course, fright.
They couldn't get it out of their head. They couldn't stop thinking about it.
"Great. Now everyone in class is staring at me." Freya sank in her seat a little her face getting hot.
"If I ask to repeat the question then Mrs. Seva would know better that I wasn't listening."
Mrs. Seva frowned slightly at the sight. Usually the other four would back up the other. She then started to wonder if they got into a fight. Nevertheless, this was the first time this happened in her class with them.
"Okay... Uhm... Please turn you textbooks to page 182 and do number one, letter D. 1D."
The students quietly got on to it except for Danielle who just stared at her textbook.
"The spirit couldn't have gone out unless..."
"'There's a reason why we're using a cup and why its upside down.'"
"'Because the spirit might get out.'"
Danielle could feel Mrs. Seva's gazenon her and decided to open her textbook. Although the work was easy, she had a hard time focusing.
Salia was writing furiously. Her hand was writing as if it had a brain of it's own. Her brows furrowed together as she came to a halt.
"Good thing she stopped. Her pen looked like it was about to snap."
Salia's eyes widened asbher lips parted in disbelief. Danielle stared at her at the corner of her eye silently. She could see that Salia had written something very long.
She some words like, fell, chill, gone.
**RIIINNNGGG**
The bell rang and the students wasted no time putting their textbooks in their back and standing up.
"You may pass those tomorrow and will be recorded as your homework now. Class dismiss."
Freya stood up and got her bag and was about to walk off when the armrest of a chair suddenly hit her side.
"Shi-"
"Aye!" Danielle says in a loud voice covering up her friend's cuss.
They quickly walked up to the three who were standing at the doorway.
"I swear that chair wasn't there earlier." Freya says rubbing her side.
"Yeah and it looked like it moved."
"Salia, if you're making this up..."
"I'm not! I saw it move for real."
The five stopped at the park nearby their school and sat at a round stone table and sat on rock seats.
As they got comfortable, Danielle found this opportunity to ask Salia, "What were you writing in class that probably doesn't have anything to do with the lesson?"
Their attention turned to Salia. She sighed and got her textbook out. She found the page and hugged the book close to her chest.
"But first... Sophia, Regine and I have some explaining to do."
Sophia gulped. "It's now or never."
"It's our fault that the spirit got out."
"What!?" Freya and Danielle says at the same time. They couldn't believe it.
Salia then placed her textbook onnthe middle and showed them what she written.
"I was thinking too much and accidentally written it as my answer." She says sheepishly.
Exactly at the time that Danielle stood up, I saw the cup tilt upward slightly. At first, I thought it was Sophia and Regine who had done it but turns out it wasn't them. I felt a chill in my spine but ignored it. As we waited for the two to come back up Sophia let out a gasp as the cup fell over. I felt the same chill as earlier and I guessed that Regine and Sophia had felt it too as we looked at one another. Regine quickly placed it back up just as Freya and Danielle got back up, I started worrying about what they're telling us. What worried me the most was the fact that the glass moved with no spirit inside it. Could it be that the spirit was moving it? If so, where was it? No doubt that the spirit was next to one of us. But who exactly? Where is it no-
"I just realised that I was off topic..."
Regine frowned and said, "we have to contact it again."
Sophia looked at her as if she had grown another head.
"Are you mad?! How are we even sure that it's going to be the same spirit?" In full honesty, all of them including Regine doesn't want to do it anymore.
"Okay, how about we do it next week? If nothing happens to us till next week then we're never touching the board again. If something does happen then we'll have to play it again and make sure that it's not trying to kill us. For the week nobody talks about this."
The three nodded at Regine's suggestion. Freya started having cold hands.
Something already happened to her. And she's going to have to deal with it like nothing happened for today to tomorrow until next week.
The girls then went on their way.
Little do they know, each of them have a schedule of visit...
