As they ordered they soon began to learn new things about each other. Niall learned that aoife couldn't drinki much coffee as it gave her a headache, but she loved tea. Aoife learnt that niall just loved food, this was down to the fact he ordered enough to feed a family of four. She teased him and wondered how he could be so skinny, she envied his metabolism. As the time went on it became clear the two had a lot in common, they had become best friends almost instantly, giggling and feeling completely at ease. But the one question was weighing down on niall's mine; why had she been so upset? He knew he had to approach the topic with care, she had just started to feel at ease with him and he didn't want to make her uncomfortable, but he knew nonetheless that they needed to talk about it, one way or another. Niall had always been one of those guys that girls would come and talk to when they had problems. When he had been at school back in mullingar, he was that boy that was friends with all the girls, if he saw ine upset in the corridors he wwould take her under his wing. Every girl around him had been in awe of his kindness, his willingness to help, every other guy envious of the way he could fit in so well with a group of girls. He was so easy going that anyone who met him would instantly feel at ease, instantly want to be friends with him because he was just one of thosse guys, maybe that's why he had fit in so well with aoife, perhaps its way the conversation had flowed so well. As the conversation stopped for a few moments the two appreciating the delicious food they had been served he knew it was time, he knew he had to ask, after all that was the reason they were here, so she could talk about her problems and maybe let him help lighten the load.
"So aoife, you never told me why you were so upset."
The colour instantly drained from her face.
"Ermm.. it's a long story..."
"I've got time, I've heard if you share a story it lightens the load." Niall cheekily winked at her trying desperately to lighten the mood. Although he had only known this girl for a few hours he knew that she was special, he knew that he could not let this girl slip out of his reach. He had waited so long to find that special someone, not interested in flings or one night stands like harry. He knew that aoife could well be the one, he had never felt so at ease with a girl. Before their meeting he had been at a loose end, convinced that he would never find the love he was yearning for, but now as he looked into the blue, mystical pools of her eyes he knew that she was someone special, he knew that she deserved the love he yearned to give, that she deserved tto be cherished.
