Izo, Marco, Thatch, and Haruta where sitting on the deck talking to Ace, Sabo, and Luffy about Halloween. The crew had just arrived on a small island. Upon inspection the crew learned that the island was preparing for Halloween. A celebration they didn't participate in as they where adults, but that they wanted the three youngest to try. Now the four commanders sat with their three brothers trying to explain the simple holiday.

"Halloween?" Luffy asked with a head tilt. Thatch nodded excitedly, "Yea you go around and ask for candy." Sabo stared suspiciously at the older man. "And they just hand give it up, for free?" Sabo asked with look if disbelief.

"Yea, its some weird tradition people do, yoi." Luffy's eyes lit up while Ace's eyes narrowed in suspicion and Sabo just looked surprised.  Marco sighed fondly before letting a small smile grace his face. "What's the catch?" Izo smiled innocently with a glint in his eyes.

Ace and Sabo noticed that look and prepared to run if things didn't work out. Luffy just sat there with an innocent smile and a trusting look in his eyes. "Oh nothing much. You just have to dress up. Not to hard right?" Ace glared, "Thats not all is it?" Haruta laughed, "Ya just gotta go door to door with your cute smiles and say a small phrase. It's not to bad."

Sabo stood up while dusting off his blur shorts, "I'd rather not participate in this particular activity and stay on the ship." Luffy looked distraught, "Oh come on Sabo! It could be fun!" "I'ma agree with Sabo on this one. Why would I want to talk to creepy adults about getting candy from them? What if they're perverts?" Ace asked in disgust.

"Oh don't be so dramatic Ace!" Thatch said before he pulled Luffy unto his chest. "You'll give Luffy nightmares!" Luffy pulled out his doggy eyes. Marco sighed at his siblings antics before jumping into the conversation as he noticed Ace and Sabo breaking. "Don't pressure them, yoi. We shouldn't force them to participate if they don't want to."

"Don't be such a kill joy Marco!" Haruta exclaimed. "Let them have some fun!" Marco rolled his eyes and decided to just go back to his room. Izo smiled brightly. "Now about dressing up......."

An hour after night fall

Ace, Sabo, and Luffy walked from house to house. The whole time Ace and Sabo couldn't stop blushing. Izo's version of dressing up made them heavily blush. It didn't matter to him that all three where boys, the commander dressed them as girls. Not just any girls, oh no thats too simple. Izo dressed them as princesses.

Luffy was practically skipping in his sandals as his bright red dress swayed along. His hair extensions that made it to the small of his back was pulled back into a braid. Sabo was blushing brightly as he walked shyly as his dark blue dressed swayed gently along his sandaled feet. His now long blonde hair was pulled into a ponytail that curled at the ends. Ace was in a light colored orange dress his hair, now long enough to be medium length, was curled and a small yellow flower was clipped to his hair.

"I thought we were supposed to be scary." Ace grumbled with a blush as he passed by Izo, Haruta, and Thatch who were grinning wildly. "Ah did we forget to mention the cute side of Halloween?" Thatch asked with an innocent smile gracing his face. Ace and Sabo glared at the man.

Before they could begin to complain Luffy let out a yelp in excitement and ran off to a decorated building. Izo smiled and gently led the two younger kids by their hands after their little brother. They blushed brightly while Thatch and Haruta followed, snickering.

The rather large building was decorated in false spider webs, flashing different colored lights with smoke, and finally props covered yard. A well lit and rather large sign was hung above the wooden double doors reading:

HAUNTED HOUSE
FREE ENTRY FOR THOSE BRAVE SOULS!

Luffy turned to the commanders with stars in his eyes. The three commanders didn't stand a chance neither did Ace. Sabo refused at first, but changed his mind at the idea of something interesting finally happening in this embarrassing night.

The commanders waved at them while promising to wait at the exit. Screams could be heard coming from the inside of the building that made the two older kids hesitate, but that didn't distract Luffy from his goal. They entered slowly with two kids a few years older than Ace and Sabo.

A long hallway covered in old mirrors, fake webs, and caution tape met them. A blue light made it difficult to see what was ahead and the ASL brothers stayed close. The two teens were getting further and further away as they laughed and told jokes. At one point they turned a corner and ASL lost complete sight of them.

When they made it to the end of the hallway they found two directions they could go. One the right it was pitch black except for a random strobe light and on the left the blue light continued. Luffy was already scared clutching to his siblings hands for support. The two didn't mind and in fact found strength through Luffy.

"Which way?" Sabo asked hesitantly. Ace took a deep breath, "Luffy? What do you think?" Luffy looked scared, but puffed up his chest and began to pull his brothers to the right. The two shared a look and began to lead the way. Luffy shut his eyes and pressed himself against Sabo.

During the time the commanders where waiting Haruta had to go after a member of the 12th division needed help with an small problem. That left Izo and Thatch together as they waited for the three to come out. They waited and waited and waited.

30 minutes later

"What is taking them so long!?" Thatch asked as he grew more and more tired of waiting. Before Izo could respond a new voice entered the conversation. "And where are they, yoi?" The two commanders turned and came face to face with the first division commander. "Marco! Buddy! What brings you to this spectacular party?" Marco glared, " The fact that you were supposed to return an hour ago, yoi." Izo sighed, "Not our fault. The haunted house is a little longer then we anticipated is all."

"Haunted house?" Marco asked with a concerned look on his face. "Oh calm down mother hen. Those kids are tough they'll be fine." Marco smacked Thatch on the back of his head. "Watch the hair!" Thatch pouted with an exaggerated teary eyed look. Izo rolled his eyes before something caught his eye. "Oh look! Here come those three now!"

The three siblings slowly walked out of the haunted mansion. Tears were streaming down Luffy's face ruining the light make up Izo had added. Ace and Sabo also had tears in their eyes, but both refused to let them fall. Throughout the whole haunted house they screamed their lungs out. Their voices felt raw and they were very thirsty. Fear and adrenaline coursed through their veins.

When they saw the three commanders they almost collapsed in relief. The volunteers had given them a lot of candy as an apology for not giving a better warning, but couldn't do much more then that. The three ran straight for the older men and tried their best not to trip over their dumb dresses.

They each threw themselves into the arms of one of the commanders. Ace with Thatch, Sabo with Izo, and Luffy with Marco. The three commanders where shocked, but excepted the embrace. With Thatch and Izo ignoring Marco's glare Thatch asked a question that was on the tip of his tongue. "So what do you three think about Halloween?" The only answer Thatch received was sobs from the three children and a glare from Izo and Marco.
