You couldn't have heard the truck coming. You couldn't have heard the loud honks of it. You couldn't have loved him.

No, that last one was a lie.

Matt was walking after school with his great friend (y/n). It had been a really bad day for him. But you seemed to make it better.

Matt was using sign language to "talk" to you. You giggled when he told you about how he was mad at his brother Allen.

"Just get along with him" you signed

"That will be tricky" he replied.

He tapped you to signal someone was coming. A gangster of the town.

He started yelling at Matt and you for going into his part of the city.

"$&@% off man we were just walking "

" You would use that language in front of a girl? What do you have no class?" The gangster said smirking.

"Well she's deaf so...."

You tugged on his sleeve signaling you wanted to go now.

"Listen we don't want any trouble.... And i don't want to break any bones in front of her you Got That?"

(He pulled his hockey stick from his back so only the gangster could see it)

He quickly retreated and went deep into a nearby alleyway.

You were almost home when .... 5 men jumped you and Matt.

"No one messes with me" it was the gangster from before.

"Crap " Matt thought he cant fight 5 men and protect (y/n) at the same time.

Matt signaled a "run away "to you and you got the memo.

Run!

Both of you ran as fast as you could.

They were chasing after.

You were slower than matt so you ran faster that you were shoulder to shoulder.

In order to get to your house you had to cross a busy street they were still chasing you guys so you ran ahead.

You signaled a " meet you there" when you sped up ahead of matt to the crosswalk.

Bad idea

The bus.

The horn.

The yells.

Death.

Blood.

Shock.

Sadness.

Matt went back to reality and

Stared blankly at your casket. Once the funeral was over he grabbed his hockey stick from his car.

"Where are you going" Allen said

"Taking care of some business " Matt replied.

That night there were 6 deaths one of a driver and 5 criminal gangsters
