Friday night I put on my jeans, my school shirt and my black TOMS. I threw my hair into a ponytail. I put on my Chapstick and we were off to the game. Travis offered to drive but I declined. So instead, he came with us in my truck. He was in the middle. Between me and Josh. We talked about random shit the whole way there. I actually smiled a couple times. He is really funny. I found Lizzie and we say together in the stands. My voice was almost gone at the end of the game. Barely audible. Travis and Josh laughed at me. "What can I say? I'm y'all's biggest fan." I rasped. They smiled at this. We drove back to school to drop Travis off. "Hope your voice is back, Roxanne." He said. I nodded. "Drink some hot tea or something." He added. "I will. Thanks, T." I whispered. He smiled. "See you tomorrow at 7!" He called over his shoulder. We drove home and we walked in the house. "Did you even think to tell us where you two would be? It's almost 11:00!" My mom yelled as soon as we stepped in. "We were at Josh's ga..." She slapped me. I felt my lip bust. I tasted the blood. "Shut up! I didn't ask you to talk!" She screeched. I nodded. "Sorry, ma'am." She nodded. "Now get your asses upstairs! Me and your father are going to be out of town for a few weeks. You better not burn the damn house down. Or we will burn you! Understand?" She snapped. Damn, she just crushed my dream to see this place burn. Oh well. We nodded and mumbled our yes ma'am's and went upstairs. We jumped up and down. Because they are gonna be gone!! This is sheer happiness!! I fell asleep with a smile on my face.
