Chapter 9- What Did We Just Do?

Chapter 9- What Did We Just Do?

Zoe's P.O.V.

Harry went to go check around and see if he could find anyone. Honestly, being in the forest in the dark...scared me. I didn't want to be left alone. But I knew that Harry would help me if I needed it. 

I was watching Harry till I couldn't see him anymore. Right then and there, I started to get the creeps as if someone was watching me. I slowly looked around through the field of trees and bluebells. (If you don't remember how it looked like the picture is in the chapter before this one.) But I didn't walk away from the tree where Harry told me to stay. 

Suddenly I saw something move in the dark. 

"Who's there?" I ask. Nothing. Obviously there would be nothing. 

Then out of nowhere, a figure jumps out at me, and pins me to the tree. 

"GET OFF OF ME!!!" I yell.

"I don't think so." The figure whispers under his breath so that way i could hear. 

He moves his head closer to my neck. But then it hits me. Vampire. He's a vampire, and he's hungry. 

"GET OFF ME!" I yell even louder this time. 

He puts his hand on my jaw, and slowly moves my head so that he has a better view of my neck. I could feel the tears coming down. 

"You smell so good. I don't think I could resist." He says. 

I'm too disgusted. I look away, and noticed that Harry is standing there. With fury in his eyes. I mouth "Help me please." But I don't think he saw. His fists are clenched tightly, and he's angry. 

The vampire in front of me starts to kiss and suck on my neck. I grunt, and close my eyes. I don't want this. 

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Harry finally says. 

The vampire, was so focused on me that he probably didn't notice or sense that Harry was there. He turns around, but grabs my wrist tightly. 

"Let go of me!" I cry out. 

I could see the anger in Harry build up. 

"Let go of her." Harry says. He's breathing harder. I know that i've known him for a short time, but I feel like I know that if he's going to be too angry it's going to be hard to control. 

"Nah, I don't think i will." the vampire says, and I could see him smirk. 

Ok I have enough of this. If I want to get out of his grip then I have to act fast. And I don't want Harry to be so angry to the point where he could kill this vampire.

The only thing that i could think of doing to this vampire is punching him. I know it might not hurt him, but it's all I got. I make my hand into a fist. I decide to aim for his cheek. And I go for it. 

Before I could even punch him, he stops if and grabs my wrist nearly crushing it. 

"Ahhh!" I cry out as i fall to the ground. Tears are spilling out of my eyes. I know I may seem like a baby crying for their mom, but it hurts a lot! 

"You just messed with the wrong guy." Harry says angrily. 

Harry's P.O.V.

When that vampire hurt Zoe's other wrist, i was over the edge. 

"You just messed with he wrong guy." I say angrily while the vampire has a smirk on his face. 

"Come at me then." He says. 

I think everything through. And finally I run up to him, and attack him. He wasn't expecting me to be this strong, and I could tell. 

"Never!" I say grunting, while punching him in the face.

"Mess!"

With me!" 

Again!" I say as i let out the last punch. 

In order to kill a vampire, you need to snap their neck, and that's exactly what I did. Once I did that I turned around to see a freaked out Zoe. 

"Zoe are you-" I start to say but then she cuts me off. 

"G-get away f-from me." She stutters as she tries to scoot away from me on the ground. 

"Zoe." I say.

She stops, and closes her eyes, and looks away. Then looks up at the sky. 

"I thought you were different. But I guess you're just like all the other ones." She says. 

"I was protecting you! What did I do wrong?" I asked her, and my voice cracked at the end. 

"Y-you...you're ...s-scary. I'm afraid of you. Y-you just k-killed someone in front of my eyes Harry!" She yelled at me. 

"Zoe-" I say but she cuts me off again. 

"Goodbye Harry." She says as she gets up and walks away. 

"Zoe! You don't even know how to get back!" I yell, but she doesn't respond. 

"What did I do?" I ask myself, "What did I just do?" 

Zoe's P.O.V.

When he killed that vampire, i saw what he was capable of. And it scared me so much. I just had to leave, I couldn't handle it. 

Right now I was walking, in the forest, and honestly I don't know where we came from, or how to get back anymore. 

My wrist kills, but I could move it, which means it's not broken. Thank God. It's getting colder, and darker. I take my jacket and wrap it tighter around me to make me warmer. But obviously that doesn't really work. 

I have to find a place to at least sleep for a while. Not the forest ground though because who knows what could walk these grounds during the night. I would need to climb a tree. But I don't know how I would do that if my wrist kills. Oh well, i'll just have to deal with the pain. 

I look up, and around for a tree that would be high enough, and easy to climb. I finally spot one, and start to climb. I grit my teeth as i climb since me wrist is throbbing. As soon as I make it to a stable branch, i sit on it, and lean against the tree trunk. 

I look up at the bright moon filling the sky. 

"What did we just do?" I say out loud.

This is a sad chapter I know, but hey i need a little drama in the story from time to time. And sorry that I didn't update for a while!
