third. your ears are tuned to his voice. you could pick him out in a sea of thousands. his voice makes pretty singers who sing pretty songs sound dull. his voice makes everything else sound ugly.

Troye's voice was more beautiful than anything Connor had ever heard. His speaking voice was silken and soft, gentle, and his accent was unlike any other. In the morning it was rougher and when he was excited it got higher and higher with his passion. His laugh was beautiful, clear and perfect, making Connor unable to do anything but join in.

And his singing voice. Oh, his singing voice. It made every single other song sound dull. The sound of Troye's song filling the air when he sang in the shower, or when he sat on Connor's couch singing a new song idea to show him, the raw pureness of his voice with no backup, made Connor's chest feel tight.

Troye's voice, every aspect of it, made every other beautiful sound sound dull and ugly, sound boring compared to the indescribable beauty of it.

third. the sound of his laugh, the twinkling sound that seemed to fill up the whole space, it is, in a way, your favorite song. he tells you your voice is the most beautiful thing in the world, but he obviously has never heard the sound of his voice filling up the space in conversation, the sound of his breath in the silence, and especially the sound of his laugh when he doesn't restrain it.

There was nothing that Troye loved more than making Connor laugh. The sound of Connor's laugh made his heart flutter. In the same way people were addicted to the sound of a song, Troye was addicted to the sound of a laugh.

Troye was perched on the couch next to Connor, listening to Connor talking about the meetings he'd been in all day. Troye hadn't had the best day in the studio, he was tired and all he needed was the sound of Connor's laugh. It was a sound that made him feel bright inside and that gave him energy. So he reached over and tickled Connor's side, making the other boy yelp in surprise.

"T-Tro-oye," Connor stuttered through his giggles. "St-sto-op."

Troye grinned widely. There was no way he was letting up any time soon. His laughter made the house seem full of light and everything was bright.
