Lily stepped out of the car onto the freshly grown grass. She walked towards the group of girls. There was one girl that stood out. Lily looked at her. She had long brown hair with bangs, blue eyes, and was a little taller than Lily. Just looking at her gave Lily a weird, but happy, feeling in her heart. The girl smiled and walked away. Hayley tried to pay attention to her new t-ball coach, but all she could think about was the girl. When practice was over, the girl walked up to her.
"Hi, my name is Hayley. I just moved here." She said.
Lily looked at her. "I'm Lily." She said softly. "I just moved here also." Hayley's mom called for her. "I have to go." Hayley said as she ran to her car.
Lily walked to her own car smiling, and thinking about what just happened. When she got back in the car she sat quietly. After a while, she quietly wispered to herself, "Hayley."
"What was that?" Lily's dad asked.
"Erm... nothing. just talking to myself." She replied.
She didn't say anything for the rest of the way home.

It rained for the next week or two, so Lily didn't see Hayley for a while, and, as far as she knew, they didn't go to the same school.
When it finally stopped raining, They had another practice.
Lily walked up to Hayley before practice started. By the time it started, Hayley learned that Lily has an older brother named Lennon, and they were both adopted.
They also became official friends.

When the t-ball season ended, Hayley and Lily lost contact, and forgot about each other.
But they had no idea what they had ahead for them.
