Chapter 2
Last night Raven and Beast Boy had slept in the same bed together. It was different it was like they had made an even stronger bond to each other that made them inseparable .
"RAVEN wake up wake up wake up",it was Beast Boy to her surprise jumping on her bed screaming and yelling .
"What do you want it's 7:00 AM and that says a lot because I'm usually the early one",Raven said with a scowl on her face. The look on her face was interrupted by a scorching liquid in her throat . She forgot about her husband when pulling the covers back and knocking him of the bed. She turned back but she could not ignore the warmness in her throat . She stormed in the bathroom locking the door closed with her powers and heaved over the toilet as if there were something magical inside. "Blah..my ..." She then leaned against the toilet in agony. "My hair" she said finishing her own sentence .
"Rave you okay"
"Never better" she replied in her monotone voice.
"So I think we might have over done it l with the drinks last night"
"You think" Raven couldn't stay mad at him he only wanted her to have a good time yesterday . Raven wasn't one to drink,and she didn't she had basically got her self drunk on tea. She had gotten excited about the news and she didn't have any more tea to claim her down. If she didn't have tea or meditation the whole tower would have collapsed. She drove herself to the store in her blue Honda Accord to get her special blend of tea. When she got there camera crews were all ready set up, she wasn't even dressed properly.
"Hello Mrs.Roth or should we call you Mrs. Logan now." The news always did that same stupid last name marriage joke and it was starting to get to her.
"I just came for tea not an interview" she said to the camera crew in an annoyed voice. She walked over to the tea isle which she had now memorized by heart. Herbal tea was her favorite and it was sure to settle her stomach and get rid of the enormous headache she had. She felt the hotness in her throat once more she tried to ignore it.
"You tried to ignore it last time how's it working for you now" it was knowledge one of her emoticlones she quickly flew to the restroom but in retrospect she now thought flying was the worst possible way for her to get there. Considering it only made her more nauseous.
"Hey Raven" a voice called out from a sea of paparazzi, it was Landon her ex-boyfriend from the street party she had gone to with blackfire. She zoomed passed Him with so much seed she knocked the hot tea right out of his hands. That was the one of two things they had in common,they both loved tea and they both thought the wold was an evil place.
"Again with the hair for once when I throw up can I please not bring the rest of my body into it" Raven had now washed and finger combed her hair.
"Raven we saw you bolt out of the tea isle care to explain."
"That's for me to know and you to make roomers about" she spat back Landon snickered. He always loved the way she would be so aggressive to the camera people. Raven had hated the camera crew ever since her mother died she used to not care but now it irked her.
Flashback to her mothers death
"Landon I sent you to Azarath for one reason and one reason only now tell me... Please" Raven said crying the last few word were hard to say. She had sent Landon to Azarath to look after her mother ,make sure she was still alive. He had failed her.
"I'm sorry" Landon was now in tears seeing her in this state. Raven was alone in the kitchen none of the other titans knew about her call to Landon.
"Raven" it was Beast Boy rushing in with all of the other titans. This only made her shutter more. He grabbed her by the shoulders and tried to pier into her amethyst eyes. "Look at me"
"No"
"Look at me" he shook her not a lot just enough to make her look into his emerald ones. "What happened". He saw her tear stained face just then three light had blew out . She began to sob once more the pain of losing her mother was just to much for her. More lights busted but not because of her the tower began to shake all too familiar.
The titans had ran outside to see what had happened it was Terra "Miss me titans." Terra said "I reclaimed my memories"she sang "and I want to finish what I started...heaaaaaaaa." Terra had left up a bolder and volleyed it over Raven until it came crashing down on top of her .
"RAVEN"all the titans yelled in perfect unison.
"B-bye titans"she fled into the city.
"No I should have never let this happen to you this is all my fault. I should never been so loved struck when I was 17 to see that my one true love was right here in front of me." He began to sob Raven was not only his best friend but the only friend she felt comfortable to talk to. He knew this felling all to well,it's what he felt when he lost his parents.
All the titans were digging and blasting until they heard a groan Beast Boys ears had perked up "that's her she's still alive" This gave him hope that she was still ok. The rock was lifted by cyborg to find a broken raven her black leotard was ripped and her cloak was gone.
"No...please tell me our friend is okay"Starfire pleaded. Her eyes were now large and incased in tears.
Robin only ignored her and continued to search for Terra.
"Nothing", Robin said in frustration. Beast Boy Banged His fist on the hospital bed guarder this woke the sleeping Raven.
"She's gone" she said with tears trickling down her face "she's gone she's gone she's gone it's not fair"her powers melted the guards on the bed .
"Ahh" Beast Boy screamed he still had his hand on the metal, "your awake." He hugged her not mining the cords and wires attached to her body. "Hey you were saying she's gone in your sleep ,who's gone." A glass full of water on the counter had shattered.
"My...my.. Mother"she choked out the last few words. "Where's my cloak I have to go" her face was bright red,they all starred at her.
"Your cloak was never recovered from battle"Starfire said in a distraught tone.
"No"
"What's so special bout the cloak Rae"asked a confused Cyborg .
"The red gem that clips it together ...was hers. She gave it to me for my 16th birthday" Raven said bitting her lip.
"Sentimental" Beast Boy Said knowing this all to well.
"Yea ,I need to ware my black cloak it's custom that the child of the deceased ruler bury their mother"Raven said all to clearly.
"You don't have to do it if you don't want to"Beast Boy exclaimed .
"But I have to she's my mom" Raven pleaded still in the hospital bed.
Grave site
"I love you mom" Raven said in a hushed tone followed by crying into the changelings shoulder.
