I reached Ladakh at about 4:30pm. It was freezing here. I came straight to my hotel after landing. I needed to aclimatize. I mean get used to the altitude. I did face a little difficulty in breathing. I wasn't even able to sleep. I tried a lot but I just couldn't. I decided to go to the market place. It was just awesome. The people were very generous here. I brought a lot of things from here. They looked more like antiques. I don't know. That might sound weird but that's how I found them. It was late by the time I finished shopping. I went back to my hotel and went to sleep. I had to go trekking tomorrow. I mean I had hired a guide here who would take me to the famous places of Ladakh.

I woke up early in the morning at around 5. I struggled to wake up so early. As usual I was late. Trips are so different without parents. They take care of every single thing. Anyway. I am already running late. I'll think about this later. I rushed down to the restaurant and had my breakfast. I was 45 mins late. I ran down and saw my guide all ready to leave with my driver, thinking that I won't be coming. I shout "wait!!, Mr.Singh wait...." he looks behind to find me. We immediately sat in the car and drove off to a very famous hill there.

I started trekking. I was going to be an overnight trek. I was so very excited because this was the first time I was going for an overnight trek. I started trekking and there were many other people that who had come to feel the mountain. Many means like so many. I actually was one of the few who were trekking alone. I started trekking. I reached this place and the view was amazing from here. I clicked many pictures. I wanted to click a Selfie too. OMG. I din't I tell you guys that I am such a big Selfie freak?? Any way, now you guys know it, lol!! I was trying to click a selfie and I wanted one from a really good angle. I couldn't really find a proper angle. I kept on stepping back and at one moment I felt nothing under my feet. I got scared and lost my balance. I screamed loudly. Immediately a handsome, young boy caught my hand and saved me from falling down. Ohh Shit. I could have died today!!! I realised he was still standing in front of me expecting a thank you may be. I immediately looked at him and was about to say thank you when I saw his face and realised that he was Varun. The same boy who I had a crush on when I used to live in India, the person who I told you about in the beginning??!! He too recognised me but he din't know I had a crush on him. "Hiii" he said immediately after recognizing me. "Hey, long time" I said. "Yea" he said. "Thanku so much for saving my life!!" I said. "Ohh come on, that's not needed" he said. I just smiled at him. We both started trekking and talking then. "So, where are you now??" He asked me. "America" I said. "That's great" he said. "What about you??" I asked. "I'm in Delhi currently, studying hotel management. "Omg, you live in Delhi!! I just love that place so much. I had been there too and it's an amazing place. "I know, I love it to. So what are you studying??" he said and asked. "I'm currently doing medical." I said. "Wow, that's great. I was continuously staring at him. It was difficult to take my eyes off him. He had grown into such a handsome man. Yea I mean, we 're no more girls and boys. We're men and women. "So how are uncle and aunty??" he asked. I broke down when he asked me this question. I told him everything from the beginning. "I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have asked you about them." He said. "It's okay" I smiled and said. It was 8:30pm by the time we reached the top of the mountain. We pitched our tents, cooked some food, ate it and then slept off. In the morning we woke up early again and headed to the bottom of the mountain. On our way back we spoke about random stuff, how are lives were in two absolutely different countries and all sorts of different things. We did not even realised that we had reached down, we were so busy talking. We both exchanged our numbers. We parted our ways and then headed to our respective hotels. He was leaving for Delhi the same night so we couldn't really meet after that.

I reached my hotel by 11:30 in the night and I was super hungry. I went to the restaurant in my hotel but it was closed. I took the hotel taxi and told the driver to take me to one of the best road side stalls in Ladakh. He took me to a stall which was very small. It barely must be serving 3 to 4 items. I stared at the driver. He said "madam trust me, you get the best food here." I went to the stall and saw a very old lady standing there. She asked me "What would you like to eat??" I said anything, that is your speciality!". She just smiled at me. After 5 mins she got me a bowl with a curry and some rice. I was hesitant to eat it but then I remembered the driver's words. I mixed the rice and the curry and ate it. My eyes grew huge as soon as my put it in my mouth. For a moment, the lady and the driver who were waiting to see my reaction, looked disappointed. As soon as I gulped the food, I said "Wow!!! This is the best food I have ever eaten!!" Their faces looked happy again. "I had told you madam" the driver said with a huge smile in his face. "Thanku" the lady said. I finished my food and then went to the lady to ask her for the cost of that dish. "20rs" she said. I almost screamed "What?? only 20rs for something so delicious?? Anyone would even be ready to pay 500 for something so yummy." I said. I gave her 200rs and headed back to my hotel.

On my way back I was continuously thinking about that lady. She was so poor but so kind. I wish the world was made of more such people. Just then the car stopped. I had reached my hotel. I went to my room. I was very tired. I had to go to a monastery tomorrow. I went to sleep immediately.

The next day wasn't really tiring. I visited a monastery. It took me one whole day. I came to the hotel and finally packed everything, I had to leave tomorrow morning for America. I arranged all my bags and went to sleep.

The next morning I woke up, had a bath, went to the restaurant, had my breakfast and left for the airport. I sat there on the airport, starring at my parents picture. I missed them so much. It had been 7 months, since I had been living without them. It was time for my flight by then. I boarded my flight and looked back at the memories of my trip. It was a memorable trip. Especially, the meeting with Varun. I soon fell asleep. I woke up only when the air hostess came to me and said "Ma'am sorry to disturb you but were about to land so can you please put on your seatbelt." "Okay" I said in a soft voice. What?? I had been sleeping since 9 long hours?? After thinking about this I finally planned to put on my seatbelt. The fight then landed. I came out of the airport and was surprised to see Karan waiting there for me. I walked up to him and he said "Hii, Surprise!!". "What a pleasant surprise." I said. "How was your trip??" He asked. "Awesome" I said. We both then walked up to his car. He dropped me home and went. I was surprised to open the door of my house. There was a.....
