The hell with that guy? I'm the one who supposed to be screamed and passed out.

Shizuka stared at the unknown male that lies unconsciously not too far from her. Wrapped in a modest blue yukata and a pale blue hakama, he was partly drowned in the shallow stream where she stranded. She tried to get up but the pain all over her body sent her back to the ground. She had no energy left after fallen down from the waterfall. Her body was suffered and her head felt like squished out from her skull.

For God sake... This is hurt so much. I need some sleep, but definitely not here. Not in a river like this, no matter how good I am at swimming.

Shizuka laid there, as quite as she could, tried to accumulate her strength. She closed her eyes, ignored her throbbing eyes and the ringing sensation in her ears. Then, she opened her mouth, trying to call for help. But no matter how hard she concentrated on shouting, no matter how hard she tried to scream with all the air in her lungs, nothing came out. Nothing but a soft whisper. Somehow it made her felt desperate, and tears started to accumulate on the edge of her eyes.

Stop it Shizu... Calm down! You can do this. Calm down, and think! Right... First, where am I...?

She tried to remember what was happened before, but her memory had been blurred out. All that she could recall were she felt from the waterfall with Tsurumaru hold on her breasts. Then, there was a harsh blizzard. Everything became white, and her body started to freeze. To be honest, it made her headache worsen.

A moment later, she gave up. Shizuka knew it wouldn't work. She need to get out from there as soon as possible and dried her clothes. With a painful groan, she dragged herself to the dry soil on the riverbank. She managed to bring herself far enough from the water, lean herself on a big rock and stayed there for a while, tried to catch her breath.

Oh, yes! Tsurumaru!

She checked her pocket, trying to find her cellphone to summon her tsukumogami. But then she realized that her paper crane strap was gone. Hopelessly she sighed, too tired to be panicked. She turned on her cellphone and relieved that her phone was active normally. But her joy soon disappeared when she found out that she was out of services. She looked at her surroundings and started to make some smart guesses about where she was.

Which part of Japan that didn't covered by cellular signal yet...? Think Shizu... She began to feel nervous. So, I was suddenly appeared in this small river. I bet this is not the Suruga River. I can't hear any roaring sound from a waterfall nearby. And it's extremely quite here... Wait, is that... ice...? And, is that... fog...? What day is it...? This is supposed to be our summer vacation, yet... snow...?

She tried to stand up, but her legs felt like a pack of jelly and her head hurt so much, she could barely maintain her consciousness. I have to find some help. She then turned her gaze back on the man in the river.

"Hey, mister! Wake up," with nothing but a hoarse whisper, Shizuka called him.

I can't move my legs and he's the only person around. I have to wake him up now. The sun is setting down and I need fire and clean hot water to clean my wound or I'll freeze to death. Damn it. He didn't bump his head too hard, did he?

"Wake up, stupid! Or you'll float off! Wake up! Do you wanna die??!!" she screamed. she tried her best to scream. She took a small pebble and threw it to him. "Wake up, damn it!"

Shizuka waited, but there was no reaction from him. Not a single movement. She took another pebble and threw it as strong as she could. It hit his chest and bounced, flew to his face. Slowly, he opened his eyes. He sat up, and dazedly looked around. His hazel eyes blankly stared around before he stopped his gaze on Shizuka, and started to scream again.
