~Levi's POV~
Levi watched as Eren was dragged away by his over protective sister emotionlessly.
"Tch," was all he said about the matter.
"Levi," A voice sounded behind him.
He turned, seeing that Erwin was only a few feet away from him.
"Yes?" Levi replied blankly.
"Hanji wants to speak to you about her, 'experiments,' she's waiting outside your office."
"Oh God," He muttered under his breath, walking away from the yard and towards the office buildings.
Whenever Hanji actually requested to speak with him instead of barging into his office, it was never good. He opened the door to the building, walking down his corridor. Sure enough, Hanji was waiting for him in the middle of the hallway.
"There you are!" Hanji said, making it sound like a sigh of relief. "I've been waiting for you forever!"
"I'm sure you have," Levi said sarcastically, opening the door to his room.
Hanji followed him in. "What took you so long?"
"Calm down, I've only been gone for 5 minutes," He said through gritted teeth.
He fell back into his chair, pulled out a handkerchief, and began dusting his desk. He always tried to keep things clean and organized.
"So anyways," Hanji began, picking up a book from Levi's bookcase to study the cover. "About my experiments... I was wondering if we could send out a squad to capture some T-"
"No," He said quickly before she could finish her sentence. "We're not capturing any Titans, so get that thought out of your head."
"But corporallllllll," She whined. "It could be a great advance for my research!"
"Too bad," He said, putting the handkerchief in a drawer. "I don't care."
She let out what sounded like a frustrated sigh. "I'll just go talk to Erwin."
"You do that," He said. "But I guarantee he'll have the same answer as me."
But Hanji had already stormed out of the room, not caring to hear what Levi had to say.

Erwin walked into Levi's office as Levi was filling out the forum for his new squad.
"Finished yet?" He asked the captain.
"Yep," He replied, sliding the paper to the other side of the desk. "Finally."
Erwin nodded. "Good to hear." He took a seat in a chair on the other side of Levi's desk, picking up the forum. "Hanji came to me with a long rant on why we should let her capture Titans."
Levi raised an eyebrow. "What did you say?"
He smirked. "I said no, of course. It's pointless to capture some Titans for research when we already have enough on our hands.
The captain nodded. "True. Did I miss dinner?"
Erwin stood up. "Not yet, it got started a few minutes ago. I'll see you in the dining hall."
With that the commander walked out of the room, Levi following close behind.

~Eren's POV~
Eren took a seat between Mikasa and Armin in the dining hall with a sigh. Armin was reading a book silently while Mikasa burned her glare into Eren's soul.
"God, what do you want?" He asked, noticing his adopted sister's glare.
She said nothing and pulled her gaze away.
He rolled his eyes and looked over at Armin. "Watcha reading?"
Armin pulled his gaze away from the pages, showing him the cover.
"You still have that book?" He asked, recognizing it at first glance.
It was the book Armin's parents had given him so many years ago, but it wasn't just any book, it was a book about life outside the Walls.
"Haven't you already read it, Armin?" Eren asked.
"Yeah, but I felt like reading it again," He replied. "After all, it is the only book I brought with me when we left Shiganshina."
He nodded in understanding, flashing a sideways glance at Mikasa. "So what's up with her?"
Armin shrugged. "I'm honestly not sure. She's been acting strangely all day."
"Odd," He muttered, watching Levi and Erwin take seats next to the group of friends.
Eren stared at the food on his plate with not much of an appetite. After weeks of eating the same thing over and over again, you didn't really want to eat anything. He couldn't help noticing that Levi was giving him a cold stare. Mikasa noticed it to, returing the glare. Eren rolled his eyes, trying to ignore them.
"Hey Armin, can I borrow your book for a moment?"
He nodded, closing the book and sliding it in Eren's direction.
He picked up the book, opening it to the first page. The last time he had looked at this book was when he and Armin were only 10 years old and still living in Shiganshina, where they had dreams of traveling outside the walls.
"Jaeger, what are you doing," Levi asked, interrupting Eren's thoughts.
"Reading," He answered softly, closing the book and realizing he and Levi were the only ones left in the dining hall.
"You should head back to your dorm," Levi said, his voice monotone. "No one else is just hanging around doing pointless things."
He sighed, standing up with Armin's book in his hands. "Fine, I'm leaving."
He walked out of the room, Levi following not to far behind.
