Sadly a goodnight's sleep isn't something I get often. Last night was probably the worst night's sleep I've had in while. Normally I would have a few shots of tequila and a rough workout session with a playmate. However, the only thing that took a pounding last night was my punching bag. After five hours of beating the shit out of an inanimate object most people would feel a little better.

Yet here I am lying on the floor of the gym breathing hard and still feeling angry as hell. Not even remotely satisfied I sigh before heaving myself up. Grabbing a towel I begin to wipe away the sweat from my body. My bare feet pad against the wooden floorboards as I head towards the kitchen. Although the raised voices coming from the front room cause me to stop "look it worked out either way right?" Percy asks angrily. The next voice takes me off guard "you're an idiot what have I told you about thinking things through before you act?" Lance retaliates in scolding tone.

Moving closer to the lounge door I listen closely "It was nothing! I don't need your approval on everything" Percy hisses threateningly. Before I can attempt to enter the room Lance replies, "you do when it means that I've got to clean up the mess" his tone is deadly. Their voices lower into angry whispers and sensing that I'm not needed to intervene I move towards kitchen.

As always Becca is stood behind the stove looking almost heavenly in a bright pink summer dress... Or it could be the fact she's making pancakes. Before I can reach for one she smacks my hand away giving me playful glare "brunch is almost served go sit down and I'll finish making Percy's lunch" she sighs turning away from me. Frowning I grab a strawberry off of the side "shouldn't he be in school?" I ask curiously. Without looking at me her shoulders stiffen slightly "he's got a free period I've written him a doctors note after the meeting I'm taking him to school" she answers seeming tense. The thought of her being upset on top of everything seems to piss me off more. Pregnancy should be a fun time not a

Hugging her from behind I rub her belly "what's up?" I practically coo. Slowly she relaxes "I'm just upset about Tessa I didn't think she was a traitor" the words fall out of her mouth bitterly. Kissing her shoulder I let go of her "don't worry Tessa will get what's coming to her" explain icily. As I walk towards the table I hear a door slam and string of cursing. Taking my place at the head of the table I give Lance a level look as he enters the room "Anything I need to worry about?" I ask raising an eyebrow.

Obviously exhausted Lance falls into his seat beside me "no just another school fight you know how Percy gets" he sighs. Just as I'm about to ask the rest of the boys file into the room grabbing plates and trays of food and bringing them to the table. Becca brings over the pancakes smiling hesitantly towards me asking if she should leave. Shaking my head I nod towards the empty seat next to Rain. For a little while the sound of scrapping plates is the only noise that resonates through the room as everyone dishes up. Soon enough the silence becomes intolerable so I cough in order to catch everyone's attention "well we all know about the incident that transpired last night at the restaurant so I'll skip past that and we'll deal straight with the treaty" I explain. All the boy's faces suddenly become sullen "so no retribution?" Rain asks clearly voicing everyone's thoughts.

Not even hesitating I reply, "When we find out who did it and believe me I will find out who did this they will pay. However, it wasn't The Vipers even they aren't that stupid and after what happened to Tessa's family she's not one of theirs so that means we have a new enemy one that's using our feud with The Vipers to tear us down. We need to protect the family that's all that matters" my tone leaves no room for argument. Sensing defeat the boys bow their heads sulkily except for Gareth who merely seems interested "what did we gain with this treaty?" he asks.

Apparently I've won over someone hesitantly I smile victoriously before explaining just how much we've accumulated. By the end of my speech everyone seems thoroughly impressed. As always nothing last forever as Lance asks the question I've waiting for "what are we doing about Tessa?" every head in the room turns in my direction. Putting down my cutlery I clench my fist "first we'll get the information we need from her then once she's beyond wanting to die we put her out of her misery" is my nonchalant response.
