Previously, on Calling Home...
Remembering what happened scared me.
"Rebecca...."
"Yea Bella?"
"We need to leave. Now."
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
"Why? It's kinda growing on me now, Bella!"
"No. This place is dangerous..."
With me saying this, Becca smashed the window and looked out.
First floor.
I knew God wanted us safe.
With that, we both climbed out the window, and started to run. The crisp autumn air burnt my face as the vibrant leaves crunched under our feet.
"Where the hell are we going?!?!"
Rebecca shouted as she ran.
"We need to get to a telephone booth in town. We don't have much time."
"How will we use the telephone? We have NO MONEY!!!!!"
I could see Becca's eyes begin to water.
"I have $100 in my *disabled* phone. We can get some food and use our change."
We slowed to a walk.
"Ok. Food sounds good. No. Scratch that. Good sounds great."
And so we went to get some food from the first bakery we saw. Little did we know, George's wife ran it.
