Life with an Arc Reactor

Chapter 1

Your probably thinking are you Tony Starks daughter yes I am, Alexandra Stark (Alex for short) and your probably wondering what a Arc Reactor has to do with me well let me tell you.

I was at Stark Industries having a College tour since I was doing Biometric Science we was at the main power core of the building stood next to the ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) it had a amazing blue glow emitting from it as we was talking and walking away I saw someone go near it and use the controls I thought nothing of it since they looked like staff until I was a few metres away from the door when alarms and red lights were going off then I heard "This is not a drill, please evacuate the building!" I ran to the door and ran out but before I could reach the door I heard a explosion then the building started to collapse I fell to the floor because of the impact all around my body I felt pain I heard muffled voices I couldn't make them out, my eyes became heavier and heavier I took one last look at the pieces of building surrounding me I closed my eyes wishing someone would find me or would I die here?

I began to feel pain again I slowly opened my eyes I was in this weird medical room I saw Primrose one of my closest friends she looked at me in shock and said "omg Alex you're alright you survived!" I questioned "Prim you not making sense" she said "well when the reactor explosion happened you was the last out of our class everyone basically made it out apart from you so we set up a search party we was about to give up hope until you dad found you under a collapsed wall, your heart rate was low and you had been exposed to the core of the reactor thingy so he had to do something to you" and if by magic he walked in I said "before I move this blanket down please tell me that everything that Prim has said is true" he said "if she's talking about the explosion and you being exposed to palladium then yeh she's pretty much explained everything apart from the Arc Reactor that's under the blanket" I pulled the blanket down reviling my ripped shirt and the reactor in the middle of my chest, I have to admit it was pretty cool I asked "so is this thing keeping me alive?" He said "yeh it's like mine" he tapped on his then I asked "what if my body doesn't accept it? And how the heck am I going to hide a glowing Arc Reactor when I have class?" He answered "well it has so far just give everything time and wear dark shirts then gradually get lighter" Prim said "Alex it looks cool you don't need to hide it" I said "your right anyway I need to do my homework" but Tony stopped me "no you're not, your staying right there Jarvis make sure Alex doesn't leave the medical care room please" he responded "yes sir" Tony left so it was me and Prim I said "I remember seeing a guy as we was leaving going near the controls I guess he made it happen" she asked "isn't Javis linked to the Stark building?" I thought about it and I think he was I said "Javis do you have access to the cctv cameras at Stark Industries?" He responded "yes Mistress Alexandra I do" I said "please Javis call me Alex and access the cameras that were viewing the reactor, timeframe approximately 10:37am" he did as I asked and I saw our class then the person I said "Jarvis pause! zoom into the control desk" I couldn't make it out Prim said "Jarvis are you able to contact Tony and tell him to come here" he said "Contacting Mr Stark" I started coughing I knew I should be resting, Tony walked in I said "before you kill me hear me out!" He said "alright go on" he took a seat and I explained to him what I told Prim I then said "so that's the person but we can't get a clear image" he said "Jarvis run facial recognition" He said "I'm sorry Sir but he is not a Stark Industries employee" saw my reactor light dim just for a brief moment which made me panic a little but then it brightened back up. I asked "Jarvis is their any possible way to make the image clearer so we can try identity this person" after a few minutes Jarvis said "I have managed to make the image clearer, Alex" I looked at the screen and saw someone who I hadn't seen in years I said "Jarvis that will be all thank you" he closed the screen down I said "I'm going to try and get some rest" both Tony and Prim got up I said "Prim stay with me just incase" she smiled and sat back down I started to snuggle up and watch him leave as the door closed and he had walked far enough away I asked Jarvis "bring up the control cctv image we have just looked at also a profile of Ewan Levi Scott" and as I suspect it was him but one thing was why did my high school science partner want to cause the reactor explode and kill me? Prim asked "who's this Ewan guy?" I sighed "he was my high school science partner, we did everything together like creating new formulas to exploring the limits of physics. It was our final year I had decided to attend college and stay at home and sort of do advanced science at home, and as you can tell it was going perfectly but Ewan had different plans he wanted to go to one of the top science colleges and then university to become a professor but he wanted me by his side so I decided to go against him I thought he got over it and made new friends but I guess not" she said "It's alright Alex don't worry about him trust me, no come on time to get some sleep" I nodded Prim close the screens down and cuddled next to me from the chair I laughed and said "I maybe injured but do you want to top and tail?" she said "and sleep next to your smelly feet?" I have her a surprised look "my feet aren't smelly you cheeky bugger" she laugh and climbed into the small medical bed.
