Narrator POV
The naturally beautiful sunlight peered through a crack of the bunks window which warned the girls to get up before the loud horns went off. Ally, as per usual, was the first one up and started to slowly wake up each girl one by one until Dinah was the last one left. It was always difficult to wake up the younger girl due to her passion for sleeping and strong hate towards anyone who dared to disrupt her slumber.
"Dinahhhh," Ally whispered, shaking her softly before receiving a smack on the arm.
"Go away! I need my sleep you pieces of crap."
The day started off just like every other one. It usually began with the girls laughing at Dinah's reaction to being woken up and there was always a playful energy between them.
"Happy Friday," Normani chuckled, shaking her head at Dinah's comments. "I heard we're getting an extra hour of free time for some reason today."
"Really?" Camila asked excitedly, lifting her head up from Lauren's shoulder. "Did you hear that, Lo?"
"Camilaaaa," Lauren whined, attempting to pull her girlfriend back down next to her in the small bed. "Come back babe."
"We have to get up," Camila giggled, brushing Lauren's messy hair out of her eyes before giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Awww," Dinah squealed. "At least the couple got some peaceful sleep."
Lauren smirked at Camila before blushing a little and turning away from the group.
"I don't even want to know!" Normani shivered in disgust of thinking about her friends doing something like that in the same room as her.
"Hey we didn't bring it up," Camila defended, trying to hold back her laughter.

The normal routine went by significantly slower since everyone was counting down the literal seconds until their two hours of free time began. The group did the laundry as usual and discussed what song they wanted to work on during all of that time, or at least for some of it.
"So we have a few choices," Lauren started. "Halsey wrote us a new song called "Drive", or we can sing Red by Taylor Swift because we never got a chance to do that one."
"I think we should do Halsey's song," Dinah replied. "She was really hyped about doing it earlier and from what she sang me of it... it sounds amazing."
"Oh cool," Ally smiled. "Does anyone want to do the other song instead?"
No one was opposed to doing the song and as if it was planned, the bell went off that signaled the inmates that free time was starting.
"Attention," The intercom announced loudly. "We are going to try something new today. As most of you already know, you are getting another hour of free time today. Please do what you normally do during this time whether it's a specific hobby like a sport or something else. And also. don't make a joke out what we are asking you to do...some of you will be lucky enough to get something out of this."
They all stared at each other in pure confusion as the man spoke and Normani just shrugged her shoulders in response.
"What was that all about?" Lauren asked, resting her head on Camila's shoulder.
"I have no idea," Dinah admitted before heading out of the laundry station and to their bunks, causing everyone else to follow.
"Hey guys!" Halsey waved. "Are we doing "Drive" today?"
"Yeah!"
"Alright so now that I sang how it went to you guys already...do you want to give it a shot?" She asked before everyone nodded instantly.
