Chapter Title From: Tell That Mick He Just Made My List Of Things To Do Today- Fall Out Boy
Tyler Jøseph.....
"Tyler, wake up for school hun." My mom turns on my light and tugs my blanket off my tiny body. "You don't want to be late for the first day of school."
I wave her away as I make an attempt to get out of bed. She smiles and steps out, closing the door behind her. I head to my bathroom and turn on the water for a quick shower. I should hurry because Hayley, Troye, Ashley and Patrick will be waiting on me.Black skinny jeans or grey skinny jeans? Grey. I need to make a good impression today. Can't look anti-social everyday can you? I take out a MCR tee and grab my old black Vans.
"Tyler, you almost ready?" My mother asks from the kitchen. I text her a quick response and she sends me a smiley face back. She's such a mom.
I grab my bag already full of supplies and jog down the small hallway to give my mom a quick kiss goodbye."Eat something first." Mom tosses a granola bar at me as I walk away from her. I rub the back of my head and pick up the bar anyway. "Have fun today, love. We'll have your favourite for dinner tonight."
'Okay.' I type onto my phone. She hugs me and pushes me out the door. (That's going to basically be the main way he'll talk to people. Through the phone and internet.)
"Bye, love." She kisses me quickly as Patrick walks onto my porch. "Hello Patrick."
"Hi Ms. Joseph." Patrick waves at her as we walk to school. "Did you hear about the new kid yet?"
'No.' He smiles at the fact that he isn't the last one to hear about gossip this time. Usually Ashley and Troye are the gossip queens.
"He's in our grade and, from what I hear, didn't move that far away from us. It would probably be twenty miles away." Patrick's a total nerd by the way, so almost everything he says deals with something smart, even if he doesn't mean too.
'Sounds cool. Is he in our class?' Patrick shrugs as we enter the large school. The cheerleaders and jocks glare, the nerds frown, and the actual outcasts shake their heads at us. The only people who accept me and my friends are the music geeks.
"Patrick, Tyler!" Hayley breaks away from her conversation with one of her friends, Alex, and pull us into a hug.
"Hello boys." Ashley smiles sweetly at us. He newly cut and dyed her looks good on her. Blue-green suits her. "How was your summer Tyler?"
'You know how my summer was. You were there for most of it, Ash.' I write her. Ashley just laughs and kisses my cheek, not in a romantic way though. She's bi, but I'm gay. Ashley is pretty attractive, I'm just not into her, or Hayley's, gender.
"Is that the new kid?" Alex asks, pointing to a boy with pink hair and a SnapBack on his head. I feel like I should mention this, Alex is gay as well. We actually tried going out once; it didn't work out. We're platonic friends now though. . . I think.
"Is he coming over here?" Patrick states as he indeed does seem to walk over here.
"Hi, I'm Josh. Can you tell me where to find room 420?" He asks me. I open my mouth and I forget that I can't talk. He smiles gleefully. "What? Cat got your tongue?"
'Yes, actually.' I type quickly and show him. I smile at him and he just pouts a bit.
"I'm sorry." Josh says and messes with his nose ring. "I feel such an ass now."
'Don't worry about it. You're not the first one.'
"When I first met Tyler, I tried to sort of force him to talk." Hayley shrugs as I remember when I met Patrick. He was the first person to actually act like he can't talk just to make me feel accepted.
"I didn't talk for two years." Patrick butts in making me give out a silent laugh. I put my hand over my mouth to hide the awkwardness that comes from me laughing. It looks like I'm in a horror movie with no sound.
The bells sounds and I walk in the direction of room 420. Isn't that the room Josh needed to find? I grab his hand and make him follow me."Where are we- Oh." He smiles at me as we enter the room. "Thanks Baby Boy."
"What does that mean?" He shrugs and flashes me a smile before sitting beside me.
"Class, I see we have an new student today." Ms. Oswald said and pulled her brown hair into a ponytail. "Would you like to introduce yourself to the class?"
"Sure!" Josh says artistically as he stands up. "My name is Joshua Dun, but my friends can call me Josh."
"Thank you Mr. Dun." Ms. Oswald smiles at him and Josh sits back down.
"You want to hang out after school?" Josh whispers to me.
'Sure.' I write down on the corner of a sheet of paper.
"Great!"
"Mr. Dun!" Ms. Oswald sighs.
