Chapter One
Okay. My name is Complication Holly. I go to Black Star Academy, a school for vampires, werewolves, faeries, and any other mystical creature you can think of. I am a vampire, always been one, and right now, I would really love to go up the headmaster and suck the blood right out of his idiotic body. Sadly I cannot, because first of all I would get expelled, and we can't have that now can we? Second, he is my uncle and my father would get kinda pissed if a killed his brother. The reason for my frustration? Well you'll find out soon, but I'll give you a hint, his name is Aaron Lightning.
I walked up the stairs to the seventh floor of Holly Hall. I made my way over to room 759 and knocked on the door. Sadly, I had a roommate this year. Old Uncle Shaun decided I am too pampered... Jerk. Wait what do I smell? Okay that is not right. I mean why would they room me with... Why would there be a human at BSA. No I must be wrong. Wow you're going crazy Comp.
Then someone answered the door. Oh. My. God. They did not room me with a human. This is wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong! The kid that answered the door was a bit taller than me, black hair, skater cut a little past his ear. I just stood there with my mouth hanging open for a minute and he stood there politely.
Finally he spoke. "Um, can I help you?" Yes, you can help me by leaving my room and this school, you human!
Instead of saying what I wanted I decided to be polite. "Hi, I'm your roommate, Complication." I suppose it would be good to be nice while he was here, he'd be leaving soon. I walked into the room and walked to the right half where the door to my bedroom was, human kids stuff was already by the door of the other one.
I opened the door and tossed my bags onto the blood red carpeting, Shauny knows my taste. I looked around to see a black comforter on the bed, the walls painted black also. After taking a peek at the closet I went back to the living room to talk to human kid for a minute.
He was sitting on the couch watching some movie. When he noticed I had come in he glanced up. "Hey. I'm Aaron by the way. And you can have fun trying to convince Headmaster Shaun to get me to leave. It won't work, me being the son of the guy that pretty much gives you the money for everything here," he said rudely. Oh great. He was James Lightning's son. And he wasn't lying, either, Lightning did pay for just about everything here. But how was he a human? Lightning was a... whoa. Lightning was nothing. He was a human, I never really thought about that being a possibility before.
"I. Cannot. Believe. I am rooming. With a... Human! Apparently a very rude, obnoxious human too!" Aaron laughed at my frustration. I. Hate. People.
Okay its bad enough to give me a roommate, I am not a people person, but a human? One I can't even be a bitch to? I stalked off to my room and called Ash.
"Ash!!! Get over to my room! Please, I need help!" I screamed into the phone.
"Excuse me, Miss Holly? Wrong number?" A woman said. Whoops. I guess I hit the wrong speed dial. Yeah didn't mean to call Shaun's office.
"Oh! Sorry Lena!" I apologized to the secretary. She forgave me, of course, and I tried Ash again.
"Hey Jolly Holly! OhMyGod! Where is your room!" Ash said as soon as he answered, typical Ash. He better not flirt with that human or I really will strangle him. I was about ready to anyway, I hate that stupid 'Jolly Holly' nickname he had for me. Oh, gay people.
"Holly Hall, of course, room 759. I have a problem. Come. Now." He hung up after I said that and in a minute there was a knock at the door. I let Ash in and explained the situation, Aaron was somewhere, I really do not give a crap where. After I was done talking Ash laughed. No lie he laughed. So I, being to totally non-violent person that I am, punched him strait in the jaw.
"Ow! Looks like Holly's not so Jolly!" He giggled.
"My name is Complication! My name is not Holly! And it has nothing to do with the word Jolly! No matter how well my last name rhymes with it! Got that!" I screamed, throwing punches at him.
"Okay! Okay! Sorry!" Ash yelled, still chuckling. One thing to love about this school, fights are nothing, as long as you don't kill anyone you're good. You gotta love the rules.
