Chapter 3

The day flew by quickly for Yuuichiro Amane. Once the bell had rung, he grabbed his bag beside him and quickly stood up, ready to go. He was abruptly stopped by a girl with purple hair. A grumble escaped from his lips, his eyebrows a bit furrowed.

The girl stepped in front of him, a smirk plastered on her face. "Oh, Yuu! You're going home already?" She asked.

Yuu raised an eyebrow, "That's odd of you to ask me that, but, yes. What about it, Shinoa?"

"That's too bad because Yoiichi has invited us to come with him this afternoon. He said something about treating us to the new cake shop that had opened." A new voice came, it was a girl's voice. Yuuichiro quickly turned around and there he saw Mitsuba, a blonde-haired girl who had her hair tied up in pigtails.

"Is that true!?" Yuu asked his friend, surprised at what he heared. He was about to ask more when his gaze landed onto Yoiichi, the brown-haired boy who has invited them. The boy waved at him as he walked closer to his three friends, a smile present on his face.

"Yoiichi! Is that true?!" Yuu asked. "If it is, then count me in." He chuckles, draping his arms around Yoiichi's shoulders. The latter laughed nervously, looking at his friend.

"Haha that's true, Yuu. You see, my father gave me extra money today, saying I deserve it for helping him with his work yesterday. So I thought, why not treat you guys at the new cake shop? I don't remember treating you before and I feel bad about that."

A girly giggle was heared from Shinoa. She elbowed his Yoiichi,"haha no need to feel bad about it!"

"But you're the one who always pays our bill everytime we eat together. And it's time for me to return that." Said Yoiichi kindly. "Ah! Kimizuki!" His smile had gotten wider upon seeing the pink-haired boy approaching their small group. The other boy managed to form a small smile but it was quickly replaced by a frown when he saw Yuu.

"So he's coming, huh?" Kimizuki glared at Yuu, which Yuu did in return.

"What's the problem with that? You're not the only one who's invited." Retorted Yuu.

Yoiichi raises his arms and gestured for them to stop. Shinoa only giggled and the only one who could only stop them before they burst into a fight was Mitsuba, hitting them hard at the back of their head.

"Man, this is good!" The cream frosting from the cake was a mess on Yuu's lips and cheeks. He scooped another slice of his cake and shoved it inside his mouth, closing his eyes in the process as he waits for the cake to melt in his mouth.

The others only laughed at how childish their friend is.

"Look at you! You're a mess!" Mitsuba then said after laughing at the image in front of them.

Yuu swallowed the cake in his throat before proceeding to speak. "I can't help it! It's really good! Thanks for bringing us here, Yoiichi."

The boy only chuckled, "no problem! I'm happy to see that you're all happy." He smiles warmly. "Oh, do I need to call for tissues?"

Shinoa turns to Yuu and then turns again to face Yoiichi. "Yes. Please do. It will be embarrassing if our classmates would see us eating with someone who eats like a pig."

"OI!" A growl from Yuu.

Luckily, one of the staff was cleaning the table beside them. Yoiichi called the cleaning teen, 'He looks like he's the same age like us...'

"Uhh... Sir, we need some tissues here." Yoiichi said to the walking staff towards their table. The teen smiles at Yoiichi and finally reaches their table.

"How many do you want, Sir? And please, no need to call me 'sir'." He chuckles. His blue orbs scanned their table and gave each of them a warm smile. Although he stopped when he saw the raven-haired teen; eating the big slice of cake, frosting all over his cheeks. The raven hasn't looked up to meet his eyes yet.

Again, the teen chuckled before speaking. He hugged the tray he was carrying close to his chest as he laughed. "It's you, I see..." Referring to Yuuichiro.

A halt. Everything was silent. Slowly, Yuuichiro raises his head until he saw the staff. His cheeks, now beat red, were puffed. He haven't swallowed the cake yet and now he is embarrassed to do so. Everyone at the table looked at Yuu, and back to the blond staff, and back to Yuu, and now back to the staff, to Yuu, to staff, to Yuu... You get that.

"EEEEEEHHHHHHHH?!"

"I see! So you live in the same apartment as Yuu. Oh I'm Shinoa, by the way, and this here is Mitsu." Shinoa grins, pointing at Mitsuba.

The other girl furrowed her eyebrows at Shinoa, "I can introduce myself, thank you very much. Hi."

"Nice to meet you, Shinoa, Mitsuba. My name is Mikaela Shindo. They call me Mika, so I think you may, too." Greeted by the blond. He is now sitting with them after getting invited by Shinoa to join them. Beside them was a very quiet Yuu, face still red from embarrasment. Their introductions finished and finally, Yuuichiro decided to speak.

"I didn't know you work here..." He said.

Mikaela eyed him and smiles. "Haha we didn't talk that much this morning. Oh by the way, thank you for calling me for my package earlier."

Yuu shooks his head and grins back, "No problem! I'm glad to know it's safe now."

"Oohhhhh what was that about?" Teased Shinoa.

"None of your business!" Yuu retorted.

"Anyway, Mika, your cakes here taste great! It opened recently, right?" Yoiichi asked Mika.

Mikaela nodded, "Actually, the owner is my Aunt. She hired me and a couple of her friends to run the shop while she's not around."

"You're all doing a great job. Many costumers are visiting your shop." Kimizuki spoke.

"That's right. And not just because of their delicious cakes but also because of the staffs' good attitude!" Shinoa grinned.

"We will definitely come back here." Mitsuba then said.

"Haha then I'll definitely wait for you guys."
