It has been a couple of weeks since I last seen Megan. She had gotten a heart transplant and I had been really worried. It was Saturday and I decided to go out and get some fresh air. I was walking to my favorite spot by the beach when I hear someone snapping from a few meters behind me. "Who are you?"
The figure stared at me then stated, "I'm part of an organization that wants to help you reach your full potential." I start to approach the figure my forming fist in my pocket as I survey the area ready for an attack.
"My potential eh... What potential would that be?" I stop in front of him and am able to take in his featured me closely. He is tall, about six foot two. He has small blue eyes and a wrinkled face obscured by a fedora and glasses. He looks about thirty.
"Your potential to fight crime. We watched your little...performance last week, it was...how do I say...daring. Our organization would like to help you unlock your full potential by training you." He extends his hand toward me. I take it, his grasp is strong and rough as he strangles my digits.
"When do we start?" I stare at him skeptically, waiting for a reply.
"now..." As he says that I am hit in the back of the head with something heavy. I drop to my knees my hand falling from his grasp. As I'm being placed on my back, losing consciousness I see a familiar figure towering over me just before I pass out.
"Megan..."
