Brand New Year Lapidot High School

Beach City

There was this new town called Beach City that I was moving too. My parents told me that I should try out new things, such as making friends. I mean the place has beach in its name so how is that not what a teenage girl would want. The sad thing was once I got there this so called beach was literally just a boat dock. Boy was my parents wrong about telling me that this place was a beach.

"Sapphire, are you sure this is the place?!"

"Ruby dear, my gps is telling me that this is the exact place we should be." My other mom said from the driver seat. I swear Sapphire is the calm mom while Ruby is the flame baby.

Finally we made it to the house; it was located in the quiet outer edges of town. As I took a glance around the neighborhood I could tell that there were mostly fast food places, such as a donut shop, a pizza place, a fry shop. Wow, why was everything here so unhealthy?

"Lapis, dear want to go explore this neighborhood? Ruby and I will go and unload everything."

"Sapphire! Don't you think Lapis is a little young to be wondering around by herself?"

"Ruby sometimes you just have to let them grow up."

"Alright Lapis, you can go but make sure to be back at 2. We'll still be here by then to get you setup in your new school."

"Alright mothers! Smell you two later!" I giggled.

I dashed down the street to see this new area that I'm suppose to live in. The sky today was a beautiful relaxing blue, I was moving so fast that I didn't see who or what was in front of me.

Lapis jumped "Omg I'm so sorry I didn't see you there at all..."

"Well, maybe you should pay more attention you clo-"

"Oh umm, hi I'm Peridot..."

"Sup, I'm Lapis, Lapis Lazuli."

Shit this girl has forest green eyes...

"So Peridot?"

"Yes?"

"Do you go to Beach City High?"

"Um yes, this is actually my second year there."

"Aren't you new?"

"Oh, yeah I just moved here."

Silence

"Oh, Lapis I was wondering if maybe you would want me to show you around the school tomorrow?"

"Sure Peri but where are we meeting at?"

"Did you just call me Peri?" She asked.

"Uh... maybe."

"Okay... we'll lets meet at the Big Donut."

"Okay that sounds nice."

Just then I realized something about this girl, I had a crush on Peridot. I was sure about it because I couldn't extinguish the feeling.
