Chapter 5

"Lauren?" I stare completely dumbfounded.
"Its a long and complicated story that even I dont fully understand, but what I do know is that now Im Fae" She says hanging her head.
Suddenly Trick and Kenzi bust into the room.
"What is going in in here?" askes Kenzi.
"Oh well nothing much , just that the dark turned Lauren Fae thats all!" I say sarcastically.
"Oh dont be silly Bo!" says Trick.
"Dont you call her silly" Lauren says her eyes flashing orange.
"Oh my god" Trick and Kenzi say.
"Wait Lauren move closer to Bo" Trick says his eyes going wide as she does.
"Oh my god!" He exclaims.
"What?" I ask.
"This is getting crazier" he says pondering this predicament.
"What do you mean?" Dyson asks.
"Shes not only a Fae, shes a Lumos" Trick says immediately bowing at Lauren.
I watch as Dyson does the same.
"Woah woah woah, what is going on here?" I ask reaching out to hold Laurens hand.
"Bo a Lumos is a light Fae, a very very ancient light Fae, and no I dont mean light as in the side I mean actual light, they are one of the most powerful Fae in history." Trick says watching Lauren in awe.
"A lumos hasnt been seen in millions of years" Dyson interjects his eyes wide.
"Bo look at your hands" Kenzi whispers.
I look down to where mine and Lauren's fingers are intertwined and gasp. The places where she is touch me are glowing.
"It seams as though Lauren has claimed you Bo." Trick says eyes wide.
"What does that mean?" Lauren asks eyes wide.
"I swear Bo I didn't mean to do it!" She says desperately.
"Oh don't worry guys its not like that!" Trick says.
"Lumos mate for life" Dyson says dejected.
"Kind if like wolves but much more powerful, wolves mate for life but Lumos mate for eternity" Trick says.
"What do you mean eternity?" Lauren asks.
"A Lumos and their mate never die." Dysons says quietly.

Laurens POV:

"You have got to be joking" Bo asks incredulously.
Trick looks at me in complete awe as he says "Lauren how did this happen?"
"It was one of my cases, they had given me a few vials of blood and plasma and my job was to go through and isolate all the gene strands and figure out how to make them stronger" I say looking around at everyone.
"Well I had succeeded and was putting the blood serum into a syringe per request and accidentally injected myself with some" I swallow hard.
"I knew that something of this nature was bound to happen but I never thought of this magnitude." I say quietly.
"I need to call the elders, they will want to know that the dark is doing illegal experiments" Trick says turning to leave.
"Bo" he pauses, "Take care of her please, she can't control it yet."
"You know I can here you" I say.
"Sorry Lauren" Trick sincerely apologizes.
And with that he was out the door.
"Well Doc, It seems that once again I am the odd one out" Kenzi says putting an arm on my shoulder.
"Believe me Kenz, I almost wish I was still human."
